Not Stainless Steel
From the description: Material: Stainless Steel. The item is apparently/visually heavily galvanized but it is NOT stainless steel. I verified this with the manufacturer and they were most pleasant and helpful.It is pretty heavy-duty/sturdy and should work perfectly well in most environments.

Worked as intended!
These worked great for the use I had intended - new entry porch railing with 4x4 posts. Only thing that might have been better was the exterior surface finish - maybe powder coating.

Made (poorly) of galvanized steel, NOT stainless steel as listed
Without exaggeration, I have never seen worse welding or application of zinc galvanizing coating in my life. I realized why the product listing image is a computer model rather than the actual product as soon as I saw one. These brackets are inconsistently bent and welded, covered in unsightly globs of zinc galvanizing coating, and most decidedly NOT made of stainless steel as listed. They'll hold a 4x4 wooden post, but do not count on slipping a cosmetic plastic or aluminum sleeve over the outside without a lot of grinding. Not for applications you might see.
