Cheap copy
Piece of trash. Plastic, not metal like the original. Swivel of 5mm jack doesn't work like the original. Inline buttons don't work, and depress without popping back up.

Not the best, but kinda does the job
The mic is extremely quiet and the sound (both into the mic and through the headphones) started loudly popping after only 4 months of use. I wouldn’t recommend this cable for any long term fix.

sound upgrade
Surprisingly, this was a dramatic improvement in sound quality over the original cable. The volume increased on its own and the sound is higher quality. I use my Momentum headphones primarily for my PC use, hooked to a dacmagic box. I did not use the buttons on the original cable, nor plan on using them now, so I have nothing to offer on that aspect.This cord is the same short length as the original, and twists to lock into the headphones just the same. The other end offers the new ability to use straight or L-shape. I was always tugging at the original cable because it tended to hook around my chair arm and I guess this one probably will too, since it's still too short, but hopefully it will last a bit longer. I guess the length is good for people using this with their phone, on the go.

Just spend the extra money and get the real replacement from Sennheiser
I've had this wire since December 28, it's now February 8th as I write this review. I've already lost sound in my left ear. Absolute junk. The wire never leaves my house so it's not as if there would be significant wear and tear from bouncing around in my car, or being cramped in a computer bag. Poor quality. Spend the extra money, contact senheiser directly, and don't buy a knock off wire like this.

This Replacement Outperforms the Original, imo.
Works like a charm. Haven't touched my Momentums ever since the oem wire got frayed. That changed upon ordering these replacements, however. The volume control actually works now for my Samsung phone. Sure, it doesn't have the satisfying click for the 2.5mm jack, but it serves its purpose and fits snugly & securely. The fact that it bends at the 3.5mm end is a great touch.10/10 replacement.Would buy again.
