Deluxe Wall Eagle, 23-Inch, Black

I was very impressed with this (the gold model with the color on the shield) - my grandfather and father always had similar on the front door, over the garage, etc, and I actually had trouble finding one for myself. This is clearly a much higher quality than what my forbears had; heavy duty, fine details, great finish, and a great price. Planning to buy another as a housewarming gift for a friend. Very impressed, especially for the price. This is no cheapo like you might find in the "home decor" section of a craft store, or department store, if you know what I mean.

Nicely made, heavy so the wind can't toss it around. Very happy with it.

I bought this because I read about the tradition of putting one on the house when you pay off your mortgage. Well, I think it's a beautiful sentiment. I may only live in a small manufactured home, but when it is paid off, I will habg this work of art above the garage and call it mine. Thank you.

Very nice eagle. Solid, looks great. My problem is with the packing. They shrink wrapped it to a piece of cardboard. When removing the shrink wrap several spots of paint came off with the plastic. I had about 10 spots ranging from 1mil. to 3 mil. where the black paint came off leaving a bare aluminum spot. I touched up with black paint but can't understand why they would shrink wrap it so tight. HELLO...Montague Metal Products....dial back your shrink wrap machine a few notches. It's way too tight.
