My 9yr old granddaughter asked me for this and when she opened it, she was straight away out on safari (in the garden) and she absolutely loved it, I think partially because when you open the kit everything is in separate little boxes, which she said was like getting lots of presents, the little pot with the built on magnifying lens is great as you can put a bug in it without harming it and she loved it because it made her realise how colourful and strange bugs are. I taught her to use the compass and she kept telling me which direction we were going. Great starter kit to get young kids interested and interacting with nature.

Bought this as a gift along side a "bug hotel" for my 4 year old niece. Went down a treat. Good quality and the little hat was a big hit.

Bought for daughter as part of explorer theme day at school - She loved it and uses components in the garden long after the dress up day. Highly recommend.
