Q: Is this Dishwasher safe?

This is the reason we recommend to not put them in the dishwasher. However, if you put the tumbler in the dishwasher with a little space around it, there should be no problem. Q: What are the dimensions, particularly the bottom. Will the tumbler fit in a standard car cup holder?

It is just a tick under 3" at the base and it does fit into my cup holder. The side then goes up about 3 1/4" inches and then expands to about 3 3/4". I am happy with it
