Colonial Needle John James Embroidery/Crewel Needles, Size 9

Compared to Clover No. 9, these are much smaller with eye too small to put satin embroidery floss through.

I ordered a pack of size 9 John James embroidery needles. The package of needles is a mess. It is open, cracked, and I cannot seal it shut like I can any other pack of needles. I am very disappointed.The problem is not the box they were shipped in, it is the package of needles itself.

I bought the needles for embroidery projects; the needles arrived in record time.

They are shorter than what I wanted, but they will do.

The shaft is too short. How do you figure out the right shaft length for comfort?
