Review: Used this to replace the blown subwoofer in a Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 sound system. I'm still in the process of breaking in this new speaker, but from what I hear already, this makes the sub sound better than what Klipsch made it originally — much better sounding deep bass. I've one more copy of fully functional ProMedia 2.1, and I'm seriously considering swapping the sub on it with this as well! For those of who you'll be attempting this swap, remember that the speaker connectors on this are of different size than what the stock Klipsch speaker used, so be prepared to order a set of connectors to modify the original wire (or just solder the wire). This speaker is also a dual-connector 4 ohm one so connect the leads in serial (connect one set of + and - using a wire directly), and then use the remaining + and - for the original Klipsch amp's connectors. Other than that a snug drop in replacement. You'll need to ditch the original metal grill afterwards. See the attached photo for the installed version.

**Q: What type of amp do i need to push 2 8 inch evl subs**
A: You can use the RP1200 for 2 EVL since all they require is 600rms each and that wont burn out your subs

**Q: a good amp to run one evl 8 4ohms?**
A: The 1200.1 RP will do 600 watts at 2 ohms.  Just run all the pos and neg wires from both sides of sub to amp.

**Q: Do they make a box to fit 06 Chevrolet 1500 single cab for 4 8**
A: Probably not but a quick Google search is free, but I'd say you'll have to have a custom box made. Have you checked into JL Audio's shallow mount sub? There's more than just that brand if you don't prefer them. But if your set on conventional subs you may wanna consider having a custom speaker box made to replace the armrest Stick a single EVL 10 OR Evl 12 in it. I got 2012 Silverado ext z71 I put 1 EVL 12 in a store bought 15 in sub box lined it with poly fill and hooked a Rockford Fosgate Mono 1000d amp and it Fing rocks, if I want it louder I crack the windows and it will give you a headache after a while. Hope this helps

**Q: Do these subs have motor noise like the skar svr 8’s? will be going under the seat of my 14 chevy crew cab and my svr’s slam but have motor noise.**
A: not to me anyways..i bought mine used didn't need to brake it in..mines in a F150 extended cab..minus back seat.. they can move alot of air if your port isn't real smooth it'll be noisy

Used this to replace the blown subwoofer in a Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 sound system. I'm still in the process of breaking in this new speaker, but from what I hear already, this makes the sub sound better than what Klipsch made it originally — much better sounding deep bass. I've one more copy of fully functional ProMedia 2.1, and I'm seriously considering swapping the sub on it with this as well!
