## Description

Delta Cycle and Home Foot Fenders Bicycle Toe Clips - Bike Pedal Straps for Mountain Bikes, Cruisers More - Wide Opening for Comfort Convenience - Durable Construction Toe Clips for Bike Pedals : desertcart.ae: Sporting Goods

Review: I started biking again 2 months ago. When I bought my Trek bike it came with a set of Crank Bros Eggbeaters, which I didn't find practical for NYC urban riding. The first thing is that you have to make sure you have platform pedals with the proper screw holes which will allow you to install these clips. I bought a pair of MKS Sylvan Touring Pedals from desertcart.com and I'm very satisfied. As soon as I put my feet inside the clips I could feel a difference. Yes, it does help you a lot when you pedaling. My pattern is now more uniform, and I'm inputting energy whether I'm pushing the pedal down or pulling up. It's very easy to take my feet out of them too, which is very importing if you bike in a area like NYC. It took me less than a few minutes to learn how to insert my feet in the clips and although this was my first ride with them I can do it without even looking down most times. Also, I keep my right foot in when I have to stop and only take my left foot out, when it's time to start pedaling again I then insert my left foot. The good things is that if you have two-sided platform pedals when can pedal on the opposite side of the pedal just to get you going, and once you're moving again then you can proceed to insert your foot, so yes, very easy to use, and they do give you more speed. If you do pedal on the the side opposite to the clips, do not do it on a curve, as you will scratch them against the pavement. On this ride I was wearing sneakers, but I also put on my dressy shows size 10 (USA) while I was at home and didn't have any problem doing any of the things that I mentioned above. In regards to the quality. The pedals are plastic, I just got them but they feel pretty sturdy to me, so I don't think they're easily breakable, and they're also very cheap. One last thing. I wouldn't say that these are beginner clips. I know that some people that have expensive road bikes and wear spandex might think these clips are garbage, but they're for a different purpose. A lot of us are not interested in getting clipless pedals and clips with straps because we're practical riders. I also have a review on the MKS Sylvan Touring Pedal Double Sided.
Review: The don't easily fit my pedals. Going to have work something out to get them to fit.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will these work on a peloton bike and do I need anything along with them?**
A: 2020 Update: I purchased for a recently delivered Peloton and they didn't work at all. There is no way to attach them to the stock pedals. You will have to install different pedals in order for this item to work.

**Q: Are these just antislip, or can I also get upstroke power? Hybrid bike on roads, many stop signs, tennis shoes. I'll replace my Avenir Comfort Pedals.**
A: I would say they are mostly anti-slip. I don't have to reposition my feet like I did without them on standard pedals, so just that has improved efficiency. I like them a lot for frequent stopping, easy in and out. For me, the upstroke power is limited in tennis shoes just because they don't offer much protection to my big toe nails, which rub on the clip and get sore after many miles, but I find that goes away in a cycling shoe that is more rigid. I honestly forget I have them until I have to stop. I like them a lot.

**Q: What range of shoe sizes? This is the main parameter that somehow no one writes:)**
A: I wear 10.5 US and they fit fine. My guess is they could accomodate up to a 14 or so. Outliers are obviously gonna have issues but id say if you are in the normal range for shoe sizes i.e. 9-13 for males you should be perfectly fine.

**Q: How much shoe fits in these clips (to the nearest cm or 1/4")? I want to determine if my foot will be properly aligned with the spindle of the pedal.**
A: I wear size 12 and the clips give me good alignment over the pedal for pushing down. The clips are somewhat flexible and so can probably take at least up to size 15 in terms of their ventral to dorsal (bottom to top) thickness, but whether they provide optimal position over the spindle for such bigger sizes I couldn't say for sure. I have noted that when I align the pedal to the ball of my feet, for instance for climbing a steep grade, there is perhaps 1/2 inch of extra space between the toe of the pedal and the toe of my shoe. I suspect that the pedals will fit a size or two above my size 12. Please note, however, that these clips are no substitute for a more secure shoe to pedal union. I used an "SPD" or Shimano touring pedal for several years and always found it much superior for sustaining maximum speed or for distance. The Delta clips are a delight in city traffic because of the ease in slipping out of them.

Klappt also!
