DON'T put on too much. No lubricant will last forever but I have found this product to be the best for brake parts that require a little lubrication. **Q: Is this good to put on rubber parts, slider pins, clips and boots?** A: Yes, this is a silicone based material that plays nice with rubber parts. It is very thick though so I use a product called Haynes Lubri-Film just on the slider pins. I use the CRC on the brake hardware and caliper pistons. Once the CRC runs out though, I won't use it again because the tube delivery is just too much of a pain. **Q: Can someone please post a picture of what the paste looks like? is it purple? is it like vaseline? is it like dish soap?** A: It's a white sticky paste. **Q: How is this product compared to Permatex Silicone Extreme?** A: On paper they are identical.
