been using these for my dubia colony for the past 6 years and they work well, they swell up pretty big too and rehydrate perfectly fine after drying out so i imagine for plants these would work fine as intended. my colony has had no issues on these so unless your plants or whatever you use them for are super sensitive to them somehow uh id say go for it. if you want these for your bugs id say give it a try, maybe do a small seperate group of insects as a test run first y'know

Water storing crystals work well and are non toxic so can be used on veggie soil.

These work great. You don’t need to use a lot of them. Holds water so your plants don’t dry out as quickly.

My flowers were never happier. Mixed a small amount into the potting soil for each flower. Worked great!
