IPG6720YEL JobSite DUCTape, Colored Duct Tape, 1.88" x 20 yd, Yellow (Single Roll)

I needed to mount a large piece of Plexiglas in a vinyl window. It is a large out swing casement window and the inside screen has a small mounting rabbit so the Plexiglas had to be cut exact. It is a new window in a new apartment building and they did not want us putting screws in the window to mount the Plexiglas. They only wanted me to hold it in with duct tape. So I did. This brand seemed very sticky and it did stick real nice. It held up great for about one week. Then the weather got hot and it got up to 87 degrees. Living on the south side on the sixth floor and having 8' x 8' windows I had two portable air conditioners to mount with each having 2 five inch hoses mounted to the Plexiglas. After running all day and at 6:30 PM the temperature got too hot from the exhaust hose and sun and the tape JUST LET GO. The panels came loose and tipped in to the apartment. One, then the other shortly after. I was taken by surprise and had to do something quick. I had some older silver duct tap and re stuck the white tape and added new silver tape over the edge. It got me through the night. The next day I ordered 3 other brands of tape and added a screw on both sides......no choice. This is decorative tape and does NOT HOLD UP IN HIGH HEAT.

I am hanging up drone gates with duct tape (holding up the cloth parts) and it is a demanding outdoor application (wind, sun, rain) that other tapes I bought did not work for. This one did and the colors were a bonus

I purchased this duct tape for a DIY project. I wanted to make large candy canes for christmas. Product worked for what I needed it for. I cannot say if it would be perfect for everyone's needs since tape did not seem as sticky as regular duct tape.

Purchased this tape to cover joints in white garage door insulation board. The area of the joints was cleaned and thoroughly dried. Ambient temperature was in low 70s with very low humidity for the Midwest. The insulation board has a very fine, lightly textured surface. The tape was peeled off the roll and applied to several joints. Pressure was applied to the tape to help insure the tape would stick. In some places the tape literally started to peel off on its' own. I went back over it again, pressing firmly with my fingers in an effort to get it to stick. It made no difference. Very disappointing. Made in USA product. Should have realized from the price it was too good to be true. I was really looking forward to having colored duct tape to match the color of the surface where it was going to be used. Requested a refund my money back. Account to be credited. Would not recommend buying.

Used this tape after running into problems with the adhesiveness of the tapes that had been recommended for use in installing insulation panels on my garage door. This duct tape resolved the issue and the adhesive has held up very well through the cold winter. As important, the white color blended in well with the white colored foil on the insulation panels giving the project an appealing finished look.

This ipg duct tape is infinitely superior to any 3M duct tape product simply because its adhesion is far more effective. It is "water resistant" which 3M tapes are not, and thus it is capable of sticking to any surface such as the glass to hold a laminated sign inside a storm door, when condensation causes other duct tapes to fail. It is also good for exterior projects where moisture is a problem. The success of its adhesion is due to the rubber content of the ipg tape's sticky side. 3M and other duct tapes do not have this rubber content and thus the reason their adhesion fails.

I was expecting smooth white duct tape like most brands but this one has a visible checkered pattern (made by the inner strings of the tape) and therefore was not smooth, and looked a little too tacky for the craft project I had in mind. I’d only recommend this for work where aesthetics isn’t going to be an issue. Overall I was disappointed.

This tape is thinner than the duct tape I normally buy, and the network of reinforcing fibers shows through clearly. There were a couple of small holes in the tape near the start of the roll. It does seem to have good adhesive power and flexibility, but I would not dare use it for a heavy job.

This tape is of very high quality for any type of job. Sturdy, effective, sticks well, stays put and looks great. I bought two of the 40 yrds several months ago and used them up. I bought these two large rolls as spares to have on hand when i need them.
