Useful and works well.
I picked this up because my work had purchased some cheap desktops that had 1 Display Port and 1 HDMI port. I have two 1440p panels at my desk and quickly realized that the HDMI port only supported 1080p while the Display Port fine. Realizing that display port had multi-monitor support built into it for the last 10 years. I was able to use this to drive both of my 1440p monitors off the dingle display port.

I'm just as lonly as before but now it's in 4K.
It's silly that my very (too) expensive graphics-card has 3 of those ports already but if i plug my 3 display's into them i can only get one up to a high resolution and the other two not. I use this thing, so i use only one port, and max res for all my displays. Doesnt make me better at video games, not even in 4K.

Does what I need it to
It does what I need it to but...Disclaimer: The more I dealt with DP MST Hubs, I realized that for extended displays... it relies on Windows to work properly. As such, there are some glitches to be aware of, but I'm not going to hold these against the product as I feel any product would have similar issues. First being that on some mode switching (particularly in games) some momentary screen blanks on connected monitors can occur (I believe this is 'normal'). Second being that when loading into Windows it can hang, reboot, and get into it fine on the second attempt (this can be avoided). I found this was due to old (hidden) Monitor 'devices' in Device Manager. I was able to eliminate this from happening by removing the unwanted hidden monitors. It appears that when you connect a single monitor thru different ports/adapters it creates a new device... what I believe is happening is during windows loading up it get's confused when it finds multiple matching devices when those devices are part of the MST Hub.I purchased this specifically to run 2 Monitors (DP 1.2) @ 2560x1440 144Hz from 1 port of my Geforce 3000 series card (DP 1.4).It is not compatible with the FreeSync option on the monitor (i.e. the 'G-Sync' compatible option as seen by the control panel of the video card was not present when using this device). This was not a deal breaker... but something to be aware of.I'm not fond on having to use the MiniDP>DP adapter... but I knew that going in. I personally think it would be better to have a product dedicated to the standard DP connector... since multiple connections can be a problem for DP. Speaking of which, I felt the cable could have been thicker being for 1.4... but again for both of these items, it's not a deal breaker if things work.I have only used it with the USB-C plugged in to powerThe hub worked as expected for first few weeks without any glitches. After that time I noticed it occasionally blacks out both the monitors for a split second (I notice it only a few times a week). However it does not seem to be degrading to be more often than that.I also had the 2 DP+1 HDMI version of this hub... and had no luck with that one. It degraded terribly where it was blacking out the monitors many times a day.If this one degrades any further I'll make sure to update this review. However, without any other options... I'll give it a 4 star and see how it goes from here.Update 6/8/2021: since my initial review, the glitching pretty much became a non-issue. It might glitch once a week at the most... but otherwise has been stable. Calling this one good.

3 1080p 144hz displays works.
Be sure to read about the limitations of this thing before you buy it cause everyone's use case is different. Like I'm sure if I want to upgrade to like 4k 144hz multi monitor in the future I'll prob have to get a different one of these cause I don't think it's using display port 2.0 it's prob on display port 1.4 and I'd also have to upgrade my cables to 2.0 cables as well. This is something you'll have to make sure of does your graphics card support or output display port 1.4, do you have cables rated to that spec, and you need to know about how your monitor works like if it's being overclocked or can only support x standard etc. It's definitely a pain but when it works it works. I had my graphics card slots filled from my 3 monitors that need display port to get 144hz and I needed a display port for the valve index but I only had 3 ports so I had to use and hdmi display port converter and I wasn't getting full 144hz. Then I found out about this and I did a bit of research and decided to give it a go. It works flawlessly and if I wanted to I might be able to get another and run even more display but idk how far I could push the graphics card before it'd cause problems. 3 displays is enough for me but I've seen other setups on this product that push more.

Poor quality
I am already in here looking for another as this one stopped working. It would only work intermittent anyway, now bit at all. Total waste of $. If you need it for work DO NOT BUY

Faulty hub. Flickerings screens, monitors completely blacked out. Not worth.
I bought this to be able to use it with 3 1440p monitors for a sim racing and sim flying rig. Worked for a week, then screens started flickering, eventually screens went completely black for a few moments before coming back. Finally screens go completely black when attempting to run a full screen game. Contacted company for warranty replacement after a month and they want me to pay to ship their faulty product back to them. Big red flag when they can't pay for the $4 label to ship their own broken product back to them. No customer should have to pay extra to have a company replace their own faulty product.

Cell phone interferes with adapter. High price for not meeting 4 or 5 stars.
Works for my home office set up (laptop to 3 monitors). I'll hang onto it.However, my cell phone disrupts something that blacks out the screens if it sits too close to the adapter. Have to unplug adapter then plug back in for connection. Then rearrange applications back onto their respective screens.I wish the cord from adapter to laptop/computer was longer. With my laptop it just takes up more space on the desktop.Expensive. Easy set up. Has a couple adapter options. Directions are vague. I'll hang onto it since it works.
