Ingramcontent Bea Gives Up Her Pacifier: The book that makes children want to move on from pacifiers!

Two Stars
Seems written for an older toddler; writing is long and complicated for a small toddler

It's a good story with nicely drawn pictures
It's a good story with nicely drawn pictures, but I feel it's too advanced for my 18 month old. Also, she only uses her soother at night and in the car/stroller while the main character uses it all day.The character of Bea isn't given an age, but is the only one of her friends to still use a soother. She packages up her pacifiers to give to the pacifier fairy, who visits her that night. The fairy explains that if Bea misses her pacifier, she should think about her favourite food and the fairy will magically make her taste that food in her mouth. The next morning the pacifiers are gone and there is a gift from the fairy waiting for Bea.

Good story but it didn’t work
The story is well written but it didn’t do anything to help our 2.5 year old daughter give up the pacifier. She thought that some parts were funny and she seemed interested in the idea of leaving the pacifiers for the fairies until we actually attempted it.

Daughter likes the book
I would have given this book a full 5, because my daughter loves the story, but has only willingly given up 3 out of 4 soothers. She asks us to read it to her nightly though, so she really likes the book.
