What your describing sounds like it is turning on and off on its' own. If it properly connected to the wall and the USB is fully plugged into the adapter then this is could be a defective unit. If it turns out that you discover this is defective I want to first apologize for the fan not working properly and start the exchange process for you right away. I'll make a note to the Quality Assurance Department and ensure this doesn't happen again.
