C-mamas rejoice! These undies rock!
I bought these to wear after my second c-section. With a newborn and a toddler at home to take care of I was willing to try any product that might make my recovery a little faster. I am SO glad that I got them! This panty was one of the best things I had after my c-section. It fits comfortably and provides a good level of compression throughout the abdominal area. I was afraid that it was going to hurt to wear these immediately after surgery but I started wearing mine as soon as I was released from the hospital (4 days PP) with no discomfort from the panty at all. I was also concerned about the small silicone panel that is designed to cover the incision but it turned out that I didn't need to worry at all as that area is just as comfortable as the rest. These have been especially nice to have at night when finding a comfortable sleeping position can be tricky.I used these in a rotation with a postpartum support band and I feel like they were very helpful in achieving a smooth and speedy recovery.I am currently 4 weeks postpartum and now in the awkward "my maternity pants are way too big but my pre-pregnancy pants are pretty tight" stage, so I still wear these to help smooth everything out underneath my clothes for a better look and fit. The high waist stays put and doesn't roll down or slip. Keep in mind that these are hand wash/line dry only, but they are very easy to wash and the material dries quickly. I followed the sizing guide provided by Upspring and went with the L/XL (I'm 5'4" and a pre-preg size 12 AND managed to gain a good 40 lbs during pregnancy. I miss you already, carbs!) and have been happy with the fit.I definitely would recommend these to any c-section mamas looking for postpartum support and comfort. Best wishes to all the new mamas, I hope you find these as comfy and helpful as I have!

Might have died without this.
I recently had my first baby via planned c-section due to a host of medical issues. Thankfully, knowing beforehand - I had time to do some research as to what I might need post surgery. Although this c panty has somewhat mixed reviews, I am SO glad that I decided to buy it anyway and bring it to the hospital with me. When I was first allowed out of the hospital bed to use the bathroom and walk around - I honestly doubled over in pain feeling like my organs were literally going to fall out of my body. The pain was crippling. I was supposed to have received an abdominal binder ordered by my doctor but the hospital staff was kind of lame and nobody ever gave it to me. I did not even know until the last day that I was supposed to get one. Thank the holy Lord that I packed this in my bag with me and remembered it on the third day.I had my fiance help me into this as moving and changing was still quite challenging but almost as soon as I was able to get it on - it was like magic. It didn't take the pain away 100 percent but it did feel like it was holding things in place. I went into the bathroom to change walking like a hunchback and I was able to walk out of the bathroom almost straight. It was such a godsend that I bought two more. A spare in the same pre-pregnancy size and then one size down for when my belly starts to shrink post pregnancy. I would say the size is pretty accurate. The only minor complaint I have is that both sizes so far have fit a little tight around the upper thigh area. But it's not really a huge deal for me.It's been just about two weeks now and I only take these off to shower and wash them. Occasionally I use the abdominal binder with this for additional support but the c panty is fine by itself. I think it might be helping with getting my stomach back in shape also, but time will tell with that one.I would highly recommend this for c-section moms. Before the c panty - the pain was so bad I could never imagine going through this experience again. And if I want more kids I have no choice (due to pre-existing medical issues) but to have another c-section. Honestly, the c panty has been so helpful that I might be willing to do this again as long as these things are still around!

It’s not too late to wear these
I was four weeks out from an emergency csection (my second csection baby out of 4 kiddos) when I ordered these undies. I was stressing over the dreaded “shelf” being so prominent, and I read other reviews mentioning how much the added support helped shrink their tummies and minimize the shelf. So I thought what the hell and in my postpartum haze, I ordered them in the middle of the night. For reference, I’m 5’0 and was weighing about 118 when I got them in a size small. They fit snuggly, as they should. The silicone panel still felt nice going across my incision, despite being well into my recovery period- my incision was healed but still tender. Anyways, after just one day of wearing these, I noticed that night that my shelf was beginning to look more “lifted” and less hangy. So like any desperate woman in my situation, I ordered another pair so I didn’t have to wash these babies every single night. Don’t think about these being $40 a pair. Reframe it as $40 for a day of comfort and relief from the nagging feels of your post csection body. These panties even replaced the belly binder I had bought (but hated wearing so I rarely did.) Ok, so to be totally transparent, I’ve been wearing these for 6 days now, and today I comfortably buttoned up my comfiest pair of pre-baby jeans. I’m considered to be a healthy skeptic and very objective on all things, but I have no doubt that my healing progress and tummy shrinking/shelf lifting is a direct effect of these undies. Best $80 I’ve spent in a super long time.
