**Q: can you put them in tap waer**
A: Please know you can *NEVER* use tap water because of the chlorine and unfiltered substances that occur in the metal pipes which can kill every one of these creatures when they are born.  In nature, they live in rain water that collects in pools on rocks in deserts.  It has to be SPRING WATER from a bottle or filtered water.  Thank you for caring about them

**Q: How big do they get**
A: Mine got about as big as my ring - fingernail. We had to put him in a bigger container because he outgrew the smaller one. I fed him regular food and I/2 of a cherry tomato everyday.

**Q: How long do they live?**
A: Well, they're supposed to live about six weeks, I think; but if you're sent a bunch of seed shrimp and water fleas (as I was) they will breed and multiply and pretty much live until you kill them.

**Q: Are you supposed to take the floating stuff off the top after eggs have sunk?**
A: No
