IF OVER 75, ALWAYS CARRY A MINI-MAGLITE WITH YOU WHEN LEAVING YOUR HOME
This is, without exception, the brightest and best constructed mini-Maglite I have ever held. Unfortunately, (since I'm 80 and a number o infirmitys, my doctor insists that I carry a mini-Maglite with me at all times, but it must be a model that flashes an SOS code if I fall in the snow and cannot get up. (his has previously hsppened to me, and trust me in sharing with readers that It is a very frightening experience. This model mini-Maglite doesn't have the SOS capability, so I had to return this model and order one with the SOS feature. Also, mu thanks to Amazon for their understanding and help. .A few suggestions for other GEEZER's Like me: Pay very close attention to all of your physicians instructions. Following my Docs orders, I take my Warfarin and Blood Pressure meds as ordered, have my INR Tests per schedule, and ALWAYS carry 3 things with me whenever I leave my home.First, my mini-Maglite with the SOS capability in my left pocket, my cully charged cell phone with confirmed 911 capability in my right pocket, and a metal cane in my right hand. (My children, who are in their 50s, term my phone "The I've Fallen and Can't get Up Device). For whatever it's worth, I've survived a Stroke that left me with Ataxia, and one heart attack. Still, weather permitting, I walk every day with a goal of2-1/3 miles, enforced by my Garmin health bracelet that alarms when my pulse exceeds 250 beats/min. Also, since my brain still thinks, I often have to remind it that I "can't do that anymore". My goal is to maintain my independence for the next 2 years, then join my beloved wife in Heaven.

This is not the Maglite Pro + 351
As stated by others, this is not the Maglite pro plus as pictured. It is the Maglite 332 which is a cheaper version and does not have the high low power setting.Extremely annoyed and would not recommend buying from this seller.

An old classic brought bang up to date
I first bought a Maglite AA torch back in 1991. It was frankly amazing for the time. A small pocketable torch with an aluminium body which oozed quality and was as bright as my fathers Ever Ready 2 D cell torch. It was the bees knees at the time.Well times have moved on and in that time the introduction of the LED as a cost-effective alternative has taken the whole lighting industry by storm. And sadly the original incandescent AA Maglite has now become hopelessly outmoded. Chinese manufacturers such as Fenix were getting the market sewn up. So Mag Instruments had to respond and the LED Maglite AA is the answer. This is the latest in a list of Maglite AA LED variants which started off as very expensive upmarket model. But the pace of progress has brought better and cheaper LED’s ands as a result we now have a 280 Lumen version which is way in excess of anything Mag has done before. But the good news is that the increase in performance has not compromised the other attributes of the AA Maglite. The build quality is still there, being constructed of anodised aluminium which is both tough and hard wearing. And unlike almost all competitors the ‘spot to flood’ function beam adjustment is still there. In practice the AA Maglite produces a high quality bean with an almost perfect white colour. It also has a useful reduced power beam, activated by holding the torch down before turning on, a ‘candle mode’ where the head can be taken off, put face down then the tail of the torch placed in it turning the torch into a mini lamp..ideal for camping. As this torch uses AA batteries which are more leak prone than lithium CR123As for example PREMIUM CELLS LIKE PANASONIC EVOLTA, DURACELL ETC ARE COMPULSORY cheaper cells will leak and possibly ruin the torch (NOT covered by warranty). But as pocket torches go, this is an absolute bargain, is bright enough for almost all regular eventualities and is probably going to outlast more expensive more ‘tecchie’ rivals.Thoroughly recommended.

Maglite has done it again!
Excellent flashlight! I have other Maglites ie: C cell Maglite and a 3D cell Maglite and this Maglite 2AA cell SP Plus P01H Mini Pro. A great flashlight for working under vehicles, climbing into dark attics or outside at night. The illumination is fantastic whether using it as a focused beam or close up general illumination. It also includes a really handy open nylon belt holster. Hasn't fallen out yet! The batteries are appearing to last as I regularly use it and show no sign of them running down. Very pleased with this Maglite. I have not encountered any other flashlights as durable or as reasonably priced. Other competition does not even come close. Don't waste your money on inferior flashlights. This is the Real Thing!
