What would be the difference between "reef plus" and "reef trace elements" , since the plus contains trace elements and which would you recommend ?

Use both of them. Also use reef complete and reef iodide.

Yes copper is safe for your reef tank. I have been using this product for 5 years. It’s great.

will the skimmer remove this?

Yes it will. Always turn off the skimmer when adding pretty much anything for at least half an hour. Your instructions that came with the skimmer will have said to do that. I leave mine off for several hours.

Can this be dosed using an auto doser?

Yes it can make sure you use it a within 3 months or you will need to start refrigerating it, it states on the bottle refrigerate after three months
