Best produce bag.
At first I was hesitant to buy a set, I was thinking that currently I could see myself maybe using two of these for produce, and I did not want to have an extra that I would not use right now. Then I read somewhere (possibly Zero Waste Home? or maybe online?) that a cotton mesh bag can be used as a laundry wash bag! so even though they do not say you can use it in that way, it has been going well for me. I tie up the drawstring a couple times, and it keeps my panties, etc., from unraveling without plastic. It is really nice because a study came out saying that plastic pollutes waterways and harms sea life, so this is a really great alternative. One of these bags was perfect for getting enough lemons to make homemade lemonade (I think a dozen if I remember correctly). One can be used to keep produce in the fridge while the other is washed and placed in your grocery shopping kit so you do not forget it!It is certified organic cotton and they say it's production is socially responsible. So you do not have to worry about pesticides getting on your organic cotton bag (although if you cannot afford organic produce all the time you may have to worry about it getting on your bag)It is also really helpful to see the tare weight on the bag. This is the PERFECT produce bag. Also really nice because disposable produce bags are not recyclable sadly.

Perfectly sized, expertly woven, strong, soft beautiful mesh bags that are good for EVERYTHING, and ecologically sound
I was skeptical about this purchase at first because of the cost and my past history with flimsy woven mesh, BUT these are gorgeous, soft, well-made bags that are perfect for sooooo many situations! The cost is minimal compared to the quality. I use them as stuff sacks in all my sewing stashes - the little ones for toggles and buttons and the XL size for yarn, cloth, etc. I had been using see-thru plastic containers because the soft mesh I'd used in the past was weak and short-lived. These bags are much sturdier! The XL size will hold about the same amount of stuff as a shoe box, so I am planning on purchasing more of them when it is time to put away winter storage - a great alternative for stuffing away wool socks and chunky-yarn hats. I thought originally that the small sizes would be good for only small grocery shopping and a few trinkets, but they have become must-have organizing tools in every room and laundry is MUCH easier. In the bathroom, the bags are perfect for collecting hair ties, small bottles, lip balms... and I hang one in the shower to catch rings, earrings, etc. The mesh is tight and dependable. We've made closet and drawer sachets with whole coffee beans and whole cloves. *I did add toggle buttons to the bags that take the most opening/closing abuse (the cord knots are impossible to untie if they are wet), but my clever pre-teen is experimenting with creating much prettier, leather slip-closures and colorful crochet slides.

a little worried they'd be kind of tedious to use
These Simple Ecology produce bags are exactly what I was hoping for (maybe even better)! We'd already made the switch to reusable grocery bags, but I was growing more and more irritated by the massive number of flimsy, obnoxious plastic produce bags that still always seemed to collect under our kitchen sink. I purchased these on a whim hoping it would help combat the problem, a little worried they'd be kind of tedious to use, but they've exceeded my expectations in terms of convenience and quality. The organic unbleached cotton is a sustainable choice, but it's also been really sturdy and washes well. I love these so much that I'm coming back to buy two more sets! Some tips:-Having the tare weight printed right on the outside tag is a huge plus, because the cashier can easily deduct the extra weight from your total! A couple of cashiers have given me attitude about not knowing how to do so, but I've learned to embrace the teaching opportunity. In the interest of brevity, I've had the managers of the grocery stores I frequent most often write out directions on a notecard which I had laminated to hand the cashiers if they are unsure how to tare the register.-I also carry a washable marker in my purse to write the skew number right on the bag when purchasing dry goods in bulk. Washes off in the washer without problem!

Well made
I purchased both the muslin and mesh bags in the multi-sized packs. The muslin bags are great for both produce and bulk item purchases, though I won't likely use them to buy flour again just because it fluffed back out of the container at me when i got home more than the plastic bags form the store do. If that doesn't bother you (or you're more skilled at pouring flour than I), the bags didn't make a mess in the store or while carrying them home. I didn't notice much shrinkage, but I also hung them to dry rather than putting them through the dryer. The mesh bags are great for produce, but I've yet to find a true need for the largest bags. The bags stretch out nicely to hold more produce, but snap back in the wash. They do appear to be slightly shrunken after washing even after nagging to dry (cold water wash), but again, they stretch right out when filling them. Even the ones I've failed to grab from the pile before shoving everything into the dryer stretch right back out when filling. They well-made enough that I don't think I'll need to repurchase again, but these are definitely going on my giftable list.

One small change can make a big diff over a lifetime!
Tip - put one of the produce stickers on the bag's tag for ease of checking out. Cashiers sometimes struggle to see what fruit is in the bag or to find a code to enter in.Like:- fits most of my smaller item needs (packed full = 4 grapefruit, 4 lg apples, 4 reg bananas)- easy to clean- certified organic (aka cotton grown more environmentally conscious)- unbleached- durable- no more plastic produce bags!Dislike:- indicated ~10% shrinkage, but ended up with 20-25% ~8x10" shrunk to ~6x8"(measured before cold wash & hang dry, then after when it had been stretched back out from being full of fruit)- small will not fit 5 large apples or 5 large bananas (as indicated on Simple Ecology's website)Now that I know what to expect for final size and fill space, I'll wait for another sale and purchase the large size for items that don't fit in the small.

Multi purpose
I put a toggle on the cord so when pulled closed it doesn't slide open ... keep this on a hook by the door for putting worn cloth masks ... when full, replace with empty bag and full one goes into warm laundry and then air dry ... as for produce bag, probably would work ok though I'm not using them for that

Broke after two month
The brush looks very nice, unfortunately there are many issues with the actual design: 1) the handle broke after two month, 2) extremely hard to lift the brush from base (base lifts and then drops on the floor), 3) the brush itself not cleaning properly.
