Great for little hands
We use this as part of our MODG homeschool. I enjoy reading it to my children. Each story is concise and easy for preschoolers to understand. My kids like to look at the pictures.

Ugly and not always Truth!
This could have been done so much better! It’s called a “Catholic” bible but says the Virgin Mary and Joseph were only engaged when the angel Gabriel came to her which is contrary to Catholic teaching. I had to white out some to correct this major mistake (the incarnation, kind of a big deal, right?)Also, I’m not the biggest fan of the artwork. It’s old style which is fine but honestly a lot of it is kind of ugly. And as God is truth, goodness AND beauty it seems important that God’s word is actually beautiful. Some of the pictures don’t even go with the pages; in the Moses and Pharaoh page pictured clearly is a dead infant in his lap and his wife is lamenting over it, but the text talked ONLY about Moses’ staff becoming a snake about this so of course my daughter was asking what was going on in the picture which was a whole other discussion than the staff becoming a snake which I read. Why didn’t they just picture that OR tell the text of what was pictured? Confusing! There’s also some random stories put in there like Jacobs ladder which is scripture yes so it’s important but also kind of strange when it comes to which of the many stories in the Bible were picked for the few in this kids version as to be honest Jacobs ladder not among the most significant in my mind when it comes to salvation history. We got this bible because it’s part of the catholic homeschool curriculum we ordered but next time I’ll do some shopping around. However, my 4 year old daughter LOVES this little bible. She takes it to mass with her and likes to look at just for fun and it’s well made so I’m not giving it one star. It does make it easy to show my child many of the Bible stories so for that I’m grateful, just wish it was done better!

Thought it would be bigger
We ordered this and thought it was more geared to a younger child than to an 8 year old. We also didn't realize how small it was and we didn't check the size but had expected it to be bigger.
