This is a surge protector. It is supposed to protect stuff connected after this unit from strong surges, like lightning strikes. And that is also the problem when reviewing such an item. I can't tell if it will work until after lightning strikes near me, and since I'm not Marty McFly I don't know when or if this will ever happen. But since the unit acctually contains the protective circuits and dodad's I will just assume it will and hope for the best. And also, if lightning strikes, this is a disposable item that you will have to replace. Only real con I can see is the plastic clam shell packaging. The awful welded type. Just stop using that, please.
