This base/top coat is great! It helps protect my manis/pedis for over a week or so and it adds a nice shine and dries at a decent rate (I would guess around 5-10 mins). Also, when used as a base coat, it does prevent staining which is great because a few of my polishes used to stain my nails and I had to grow out the stains! A note for those who do nail stamping: it does like to smear stamped images unless you are very careful so I usually use a different topcoat if I'm worried about that. But I have had minimal smearing when I use a lot of product and very few, very light strokes. I will buy this again when I finish this bottle for sure!

This is my go-to base coat. I don't know why it works the best on me (something about nail pH maybe?) - I've used a variety of drugstore and higher-end base coats (Orly Bonder/Essie/OPI/Butter London etc) but this is the one for me. In combination with my favorite top coat, my manicure will last for over a week before it begins to chip (which says a lot, because I'm a swimmer). The product applies smoothly and without issue. When used as a base coat, it's usually dry within a minute of screwing the top back on after I've finshed both hands. **I do not, however, care for this as a top coat. I works OK, but I feel like if I'm going to use a regular top coat (as opposed to a quick dry), I'm going to default and use my favorite one.

The first time I bought this product, I paid $20 for it at a popular beauty store. My home manicure lasts at least a week with this topcoat, it literally gives you a hard as nails finish. I was very sad when I got to the end of the bottle because, as much as I loved it, I didn’t want to spend that amount again. On a whim, I searched Amazon. I was thrilled to find it for less than $10!! I should’ve bought several bottles; hopefully the price won’t go up!!

So far i like the base/top coat it does dry kinda slow but overall its pretty good after a few days i may update as far as chipping is concerned but this stuff is super shiny! great product i love china glaze:) UPDATE:2/13/15 My nails/toes have been painted since the night of the first review. So far I've had zero chipping and awesome shine for the most part. This does dry a little faster than previously stated, when used as only a top coat it tends to dry slower than when used as a base and top. As a base prior to polish it dries fast, this was also used with a non CG nail polish so overall I'm pleased:)

First, yes but last. Absolutely not! It stays sticky.

This base Coat/Top coat works great; it prolongs the integrity of my nail polish up to two weeks--it was still pretty, but my nails have grown out so long, so there were gaps on the bottoms of nails; therefore I have to take the polish off and apply new ones. This coat also makes it so easy to take old polish off! Highly recommend!

Was recommended by a co-worker and I'm not disappointed. Ordered several different colors and top coat. Dries very fast!!!

Nothing to dislike at all This the only brand I've ever bought, and I've tried at least 5 different brands that actually protects your nails and does not chip Its the only brand I've found that actually stops gel nail polish from lifting and peeling for a home based air dried gel polish I read the ingredients and it apparantly has " china clay" in it which is incredibly hard when dried. Photo is of my nails at a week since done And as you can see no chipping or peeling at all I've had it last up to 2 weeks And only taken it off to change colour of my polish Cant recommend it highly enough!

Ich kenne die Marke seit Jahren, verwende sowohl Farblacke, als auch Base und Top Coats von China Glaze. Deswegen habe ich mich von der negativen Rezension auch nicht von Kauf abhalten lassen. Was auch immer der Vorrednerin geliefert wurde, ich kann mich dem überhaupt nicht anschließen. Der Lack riecht wie ein gewöhnlicher Nagellack (allerdings habe ich jetzt nicht exzessiv an der Flasche geschnüffelt). Nach einmal Händewaschen und Eincremen riechen meine Flossen inklusive lackierter Krallen nach Seife, bzw. Handcreme. Nach mehrmaliger Anwendung kann ich auch nicht feststellen, unter Haarausfall, Ausschlägen o.ä. zu leiden. ;o) Übrigens sind die Produkte in Deutschland nicht verboten. Warum auch? Der Lack macht was er soll. Er schützt als Base Coat die Nägel vor dem Farblack und als Top Coat den Farblack vor den “Tücken des Alltags“. Den Härtetest mit definitiv abfärbenden Farblacken, von denen ich zumindest zwei besitze, habe ich allerdings noch nicht gewagt. Der Lack ist frei von DBP, Tuloen und Formaldehyd, was ich bevorzuge. Einziges Manko: China Glaze verspricht zwar vehement die Produkte nicht an Tieren zu testen, wird aber weder bei PETA gelistet, noch nutzt die Firma das Logo von Leaping Bunny. Ach, und wer übrigens in völliger Panik ist sich irgendeine Chemieplörre auf die Nägel zu schmieren: einfach auf Lacke verzichten, oder auf Lacke auf Wasserbasis oder von Naturkosmetikherstellern zugreifen. Henna soll auch ganz nett sein ... ;o)

This is the only product that I have found which properly protects my nails. Even a tear doesn't mean you lose the whole nail tip.

Vernis qui racle le vernis du dessous en le posant, qui s'écaille très vite et qui ne procure aucune "longévité" au vernis...je ne recommande pas
