Not sure what the rubber backing has in it but dog chewed this first day down. She chewed the edge where it's plain rubber. After a few days she no longer has any interest so maybe some kind of odor?

these aren't very heavy duty.

Ok so far these rugs are what I was looking for. Medium weight and textured as to clean the bottom of my shoes before I enter the house. Damp wet weather especially during fall or early spring tends to let leaves and grass clippings cling to my shoes and track it into the house. These do great for wiping the bottom of my shoes. The only downside is, why in the heck are these folded??? It takes forever to get the creases out, even using a heat gun doesn't get them out completely. That's a trip hazard in it's own. Why can't they just be rolled up for shipping? Doe a slightly larger box cost too much??? Is rolling up the rugs too complicated? They literally come folded up and taped so they don't "unfold" during shipping. 🤦‍♂️

I have always disliked doormats that do faux grass, have kitschy quotes, sports team logos, have a "Welcome" or artistic patterns and have found it remarkably difficult to find a no-frills, good quality mat for my apartment front door that's attractive, durable, and simple.I appear to have found the perfect mat for my needs and I am very happy with it as it fills all three criteria. The rubber bottom of this mat is heavy duty and grippy and the upper grey surface is good-looking and great for wiping off my shoes before i come in.My only critique (which cost this mat a star) is that -- as previously mentioned by other reviewers -- this item comes folded and not rolled in its packaging and the outer rubber edge continues to have fold marks from transit. I'm not sure if this will fix itself over time, but it is a bit of an annoyance on an otherwise great product.UPDATE: Giving a star back because this is still a great purchase. After a few weeks, the rubber edge would not flatten out like I wanted it to, but this issue was quickly resolved by pouring some near-boiling water on the edge to soften the rubber and then manually stretching the mat as the water cooled and dried. Worked like a charm after 1-2 times on each edge, but your mileage may vary!

It did too good a job. I used it as an outdoor rug and placed it in the breezeway entry to my apartment and it's catching everything blowing through. In addition to wind blowing through, the maintenance staff at my apartment complex goes through about every other day with a leaf blower to keep things looking nice, which is wonderful, but in my case it's just caused litter and debris (and lots of big poofs of dog hair!) to accumulate and stick on my rug. I'd need to sweep it several times a day at least to keep it looking nice. I finally decided to remove it since it didn't look very welcoming. In fact, quite the opposite. Not the fault of the rug, of course. Just didn't work in my particular circumstance.

I've been using these for 2 years, these mats are worth 5 stars for trapping in everything that our shoes pick up (and you will be surprised at what gets picked up). Also, these mats are worth 5 stars for being easy to clean. I use a detachable handheld shower head to spray them down to get rid of all the dirt and dustballs off the mat. The rubber backing of these mats do not slip at all as well, which is perfect.

Bought these for two reason. The first, I needed a mat to stop dirt at the garage door, and this was juuust thin enough so it didn't snag like the two other rugs I tried. The second reason being that I needed something to catch my cats spilled food because they are inexplicably messy eaters. This mat keeps cat food in the cat area and not all over the room. Love them and have considered purchasing more for the main and back doors of my home, but I just like a more a decorative look there.

I was looking for a set of floor mats to put in my Chevy pickup to help protect the rubber flooring and these door mats fit just right. So now.... they are my new floor mats. These were super inexpensive compared to the ridiculous price being asked for regular pickup floor mats, and, these look great. They are thin enough and pliable enough that they lay flat even where the floor board has minor curves. So I saved some money and got what I wanted. They came in a small box all folded up, but, 30 minutes on the driveway laying in the sun and the creases were gone.

Came in a small box folded neatly, however awkward to lay out as it’s been folded so small it’s not flat when laying out. So had to lay heavy objects over night with hope that the heat of the house will mould it to the floor. Also a horrible strong smell of rubber. Which I usually don’t. Mind as I have a weird liking for the smell of rubber but this smell isn’t very pleasing so have drenched in furniture spray lol

Good rug, but I thought It would be much heavier and had good grip, so It won't slide too much.

As advertised. No complaints.
