I am grateful to Mead for still making good quality paper. I bought a couple at Walmart and later discovered they were recycled, worthless for serious work.

This pad of paper lives on my kneeboard that I use for flight training. Being able to quickly take down notes is crucial and not having to rummage around to find something to write on makes this one of the most important pieces of flight gear I carry.I do use a small binder clip attached to the bottom of the pages just to keep them from fluttering around either while I'm taxiing or doing some slow flight with the window open.I will definitely be buying more of this exact style once I run out.

Writing is nice on this paper. I used Dr Grip Gel pen, Dr Grip 0.7 pencil, and Dr Grip pen - regular ink.For me, my writing instruments glide smoothly across the paper. Little bit of ghosting on the backside using the Gel pen. I only tore off the first page which was easy of course but i had to be careful and go slower than normal because the paper is thin. Although the paper is thinner, it suits me for now, but be prepared to lick your fingers or use Sortkwick to turn the page fast. I am spoiled by the thicker paper by Quill Gold Signature.The cardboard backing is very flexible. Will need to write on a solid surface. It's good for the money and for my purpose which is jotting down information during phone calls until I can save the information onto the computer. The paper will then be thrown away. If you plan to take extensive notes that you will save as paper and flip through often, I suggest another product or use this with care.

What's the big deal about the brand of the yellow pad you use? Well if you're like me, my daily notes are kept for legal reasons for several years. I need to be able to refer back to conversations and meeting notes and have a credible, legible source. I have tried all the other brands and store brands and found that this is the best paper. Four key reasons why:1. The Mead yellow pad paper is has a smooth writing surface. Other brands that I have tried have a rougher surface texture, allowing ink from a fountain pen or a felt tip to bleed through excessively. Using a medium nib fountain pen is impossible with cheap paper as the ink bleeds through to the next page and writing becomes illegible. Rougher surface means your writing is harder to read.2. Mead paper does not bleed. Even if you use a rollerball, or a ballpoint this paper will give you better results than other brands.3. Mead is also a brighter yellow which results in better contrast, easier on the eyes. For users of mechanical pencils this is an especially important product feature.4. Mead paper is better quality micro perforated which means it will rip cleanly but it won't tear off until you need it to. Other brands (because of cheaper paper and perforation) will tear inadvertently and you end up with paper salad.

These writing pads offer what you'd expect from Mead - clear, evenly spaced lines, good quality paper (has some weight to it), and it's easy to remove a page using the perforations along the top of the pad. No complaints. Recommend.

日本製のリーガルパッドはすべてノートのような紙質になってしまっている。何故だろうか。欧州で普通に使用されているリーガルパッドのような、薄い紙質が書きよい。

These are good note pads, perfect for padfolios. Good price too!

The texture was nice, and the papers ability to seamlessly come off was exquisite.
