Great studio monitors for the price
The media could not be loaded. I just got a hold of the Moukey MA20-2 Studio Monitors and so far I’ve been happy with them for the price. This is my first set of near-field monitors, but I’ve previously been monitoring my recordings and listening to music with a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro monitoring headphones, so this is my frame of reference when listening to these Moukey speakers.First, the build quality of the speakers is really solid out of the box. It’s also nice that they include the isolation pads in addition to the RCA-to-headphone cable, speaker cable, and power cord. The speaker cable is on the thin side, but it should still work for most folks.I experienced some speaker crackle after my initial set up, so I decided to try swapping out the provided speaker cable for my own and that helped, so maybe I just received a bad cable.Overall, the speakers sound really good for the price. If I wasn’t already used to listening to music on a nicer set of monitoring headphones, I don’t think I’d have any complaints at all. There are two dials on the back for bass and treble EQ, which I had to turn pretty close to the maximum setting for the speakers to replicate the more accurate sound I’m used to hearing through my headphones. Once I dialed the bass and treble in, however, I was happy with what I was hearing.Speaking of dials, the volume dial’s range was a bit different than I expected. The dial has a huge volume range between off and the 12 o’clock position at which point the dial clicks into place. Between noon and the 3 o’clock position you still experience a volume lift, but not nearly as much as between the 9 o’clock and noon position, which I didn’t expect. From the 3 o’clock position to max there’s not much volume difference to speak of. There is a slight difference, but not nearly as much as you’d expect from turning the volume knob a full quarter turn. This certainly hasn’t ruined my experience though. It’s just something to get used to when dialing in the volume. The bluetooth mode was a bit noisy for me (I tried to display this in the video attached to my review, you can hear some digital artifacts in the right speaker mostly during the music). I live in an older house and the computer setup is right in front of a thin, wood-paneled wall with some electrical behind it, so maybe I just experienced some electrical interference. I’m not sure. I tried using the bluetooth on both my phone (iPhone 11 Pro) and my wife's phone (Samsung Galaxy S10), and hers didn't experience the same noise as mine did. If bluetooth performance is really important to you, this might be something to look out for. I did notice another review of this product seemed to have really good results from the bluetooth, so maybe I just had some bad luck?Another small quirk I ran into was that if my phone was connected to the speakers but I wasn’t on the bluetooth mode, the speakers had the same electrical interference type noise as I experienced in the bluetooth mode. I plan to just be sure my phone isn’t connected in the future before switching to the other modes, but I did find that a bit odd.All that being said, I really do enjoy these speakers and I think they fit my needs well. If you’re on a budget and you’re looking for your first set of studio monitors, or you want to set up a home studio without breaking the bank, I think these Moukey speakers are a good way to go. If you have a lot more money to spend on studio monitors or if you have a lot of recording experience, another option might fit your needs a bit better.

Excellent compact monitors for small home studio
I decided to put together a small home studio for recording guitar, vocals and keyboard, and I was in need of a pair of compact studio monitors when I came across these ones from Moukey. One thing I noted upon opening the box is that they are indeed quite small. However, don’t be food by the size, as these sound great plugged into my Scarlett 2i2 interface/preamp. No shortage of bass or volume at all. I noticed that when plugged into a preamp such as the Scarlett via the balanced TRS connection, these particular monitors sound best with the volume knob on the speakers turned all the way up. They sounded a bit sibilant when driving the Scarlett preamp with the preamp's volume higher than that of the built-in amp knob on the front of the speakers. The speaker treble and bass boost/cut knobs on the back of the main monitor work great; however, I found that mine were tuned perfectly with the EQ's flat right out of the box without much adjustment needed. Still, the combination of these EQ knobs on the back and the volume knob on the front in conjunction with the EQ's of your preamp and DAW make these speakers extremely tweakable and versatile. The only thing I would add to them would be a Mids EQ knob on the speakers maybe. While these studio monitors are not individually powered (there is a main left active speaker and a passive right speaker) and do not have XLR inputs, they perfectly fit my needs as an amateur. Easy to set up and function great out of the box. I’m sure a professional in need of compact monitors would be just as satisfied, given their versatility. At the very least, they make for excellent speakers to plug into your computer. I am used to playing vinyl through all tube amplifiers and audiophile speakers, and I was pleasantly surprised nonetheless how good these Moukey monitor speakers sounded simply playing lossless music from iTunes via the Focusrite preamp and balanced TRS connection. I have not yet tried the Bluetooth capability, but that’s a great bonus as well for switching to your phone for audio playback, especially in a collaborative studio session when someone wants to play something from their device through the monitors. On top of all this, the build quality seems good for the price. The knobs work great without noise and nothing feels "loose" in sound or build. I would recommend these Moukey monitor speakers to any home studio musician or hobbyist.

Exceeded My Expectations!
I purchased these to listen to vinyl records on Technics 1200's turntables. I collect records as a hobby and enjoy listening to them. Due to limited space, I wanted some book shelf size speakers that would not require me to use heavy wattage amplifier. So, I looked into "powered" book shelf speakers that could just plug into my mixer board and provide just enough "ummfph" of sound, to fill out the small space. After hooking these up and listen to the crackle of vinyl spinning, I am more than impressed with the quality of sound for such small speakers. I have this doubt about small speakers delivering a rich and balance sound but, these have changed my mind. Especially for the price, you are getting some good speakers that pack enough punch to power a small indoor gathering.

AMAZING VALUE, wow. :-)
WOW. I am super impressed with these monitors. Great value for the price, great sound. I love the dials to adjust treble or bass, and the varied options for connections! (TRS, RCA, AUX, and Bluetooth).I tested the RCA with both my phone (music) & my TV. GREAT SOUND. I also tested the Bluetooth with my phone-- a slight buzzing intermittently when music is off, but hardly noticeable. Tested the TRS by deciding on a whim to see if I could test a new pickup I received with a banjo uke for Christmas, by attaching it to my Tenor Uke (whose intonation I am more accustomed to for control purposes), attaching it by amp cable to the TRS, and sure enough, it worked! Granted, with the TRS connection, there is a "Left" & "Right", so you have to choose one for the amp cable...I tested each, and both were fine. The Left one is the Active one, with the dials for Treble and Bass, so for optional adjustments as a quasi-practice-amp, that is the one I would choose (tho I probably won't, as I have practice amps....but I thought it was interesting to test out!)

Does not contain a UK legal plug!
IMPORTANT.You can verify my comments by looking on Google for:1 - parliament.uk “LBC0148”2 - “The Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994“If you have bought this product and are in the UK, look at the plug! Turn it over and look between the pins, if you can NOT see a fuse holder, please make sure you don’t use it!These are not fake plugs, they are simply dangerous plugs that do not confirm to BS 1363-1 and you should replace them, or get an electrician to replace them, at once. All UK plugs must have a fuse. For non-rewireable plugs this will almost always be located in the plug pin face - the one I got in the box had no fuse. The lack of fuses in these plugs makes them potentially very dangerous indeed. Fuses are present to protect the flexible cable between the plug and the appliance - if too large a current flows through a cable it may overheat and ultimately catch fire.I have replaced the cable with one that is safe for use in the UK.Sound Quality*****************Sound quality wise, these are not as bad as I was expecting. I only needed some basic monitors for checking segues that I am doing on a remote machine. They were perfect for the job I needed them for, just a pity I was sent a non UK complaint cable.

Awful quality control
The sound quality is fine, the bass dial makes it woofy, but that’s too be expected. What isn’t expected is for a set of nearly £100 speakers to keep cutting out, or for the Bluetooth to keep dropping out randomly, or for there to be a horrible buzz. The buzz is not from proximity to external power strips or anything like that, this is because of awful shielding of the internal amp.I have returned these for a refund

Very nice and smooth sound quality
I needed a simple but very good sound quality speakers to connect to my record player. These are definitely the best. They aren't huge and quite lightweight. Very easy to connect and use. You can even connect them via Bluetooth. Sound quality is great and i like that i can controll bass and treble. Very good value for money!!!

Too flat for my taste
just wasn't what I was expecting.. I prefer my music to have some deep bass
