G.Skill Gaming Headset (RIPJAWS SR910)

1st things 1st. Sound is pretty good. This is not out of the box ready, you will need to Eq the sound to make it sound even more amazing.The only thing I really hated about this headset was the mic. It sound SO bad. I didn't buy it for the mic, I have an external i love.the surround sound is awesome. True surround sound is beast.I do have a small head and doesn't quit sit the best on my head. but doesn't fall off either.

Idk where to begin there loud and clear lots of bass and with the 7.1 excellent! For gaming there built great and feel sturdy! For long gaming sessions there very comfortable , nice and big go great around my ears. They look so cool and go excellent with my black and red pc gaming setup! And the software and control box top it off to get everything exactly how i like! Well worth my money. I highly recommend these to anyone. Also my friends tell me from the other side that when i use the mic they hear my loud and clearly!

I had these for a very short period of time, and I am already returning them, which I rarely do.Pros:They were not all that expensive compared to the list price from the manufacturerCons:Fit: The Ear cups aren't uncomfortable, but they don't deaden any of the audio from the outside. There is zero noise cancelling or helpful use for the ear cups.Head band: The ridiculous looking headband is absolutely worthless. With the earcup set on my ear, the head band doesn't touch my head and barely touches my hair, until the headset slides down enough that the ear cup rests on top of my ear, and then the headband provides zero support.Audio: Where do I start with this disaster? I play counter strike often, and love having 5.1 at least. This headset looked to impress, and when I log into the game, it sounds like an echo box.. tried adjusting the settings, and working everything out, but I hop into a game, and it just sounds absolutely AWEFUL! I can not describe how bad it really is. Every weapon that fires has an echo sound to it, the sounds are indistinguishable as to where they are originating from aside from Left ear or Right ear...Couldn't test the microphone, because the headset was so distracting that I didn't even care if the mic worked.The inline audio controls are a nice touch, but with the lack luster function of the headset itself, I will not be using those.I will be sticking with my other brand of headphones until I can find a suitable replacement, but GSkill unfortunately is not the one.

Great head set especially for the price. I've tried several different ones prior to purchase, some in-store, some at a LAN party, and within the $100 price range I'd say these are pretty awesome. I'd say the sound quality, mic, and appearance is what I liked most about this headset. Had to do some tuning to get the sound quality I wanted, but the software was good for that especially the ability for profiles. Microphone works great. It is very 'smart' as far as what sound to pick up. Background noise is low so player voice is very clear. If my friends have music playing or talking out loud in the room the sound isn't picked up. This is really great because I hate it when I can hear what's going on in people's background better than what they are trying to tell me. -__- This is a mic for speaking/communication because I can imagine some other purposes that would not be good for this type of mic, then again why would you use this for anything else.As far as appearance, I like the design, I can kind of see the drivers in each cup so that is cool. Each cup is pretty heavy, but the bridge is light, and the way I use my head phones is I let the cups sit on my ears, so it's actually quite comfortable. It makes the head set feel lighter than it actually is. For other head sets some times when the bridge is sitting on my head for long hours I can get headaches or just feel constrained. Not with this head set, it is a good balance for my style. But if you usually wear it the traditional over-the-head method, you may need a large head to fit snug because the bridge and head band is quite tall. The mic is retractable, so that is out of the way when not used. Overall, I think G.Skill did a great job with this being supposedly their first stab at head sets. I'd say it's a great start.
