This was surprising!
This was a great buy.Everywhere else i looked the battery was $70. So I was a little worried about buying the cheaper one. When i got it i was surprised to see that this was actually a ASUS battery just like the picture shows. It came with tools to help get the job done, and since i work on devices all the time they will come in handy.it also came with instructions to help with the install.I would definitely recommend this battery to anyone looking for a replacement for there nexus 7.

Forewarned is Forearmed.
Opened package and installed the battery easily. (Lots of vids on YouTube to show you how to do this.) Powered my Nexus up and battery showed 65% charge. I was pleased. Used my Nexus for several hours and then started to recharge it for the night. The next morning the battery showed 47% charge and never got above that. OK. Still better than 0% I thought. Used the Nexus again and consciously let the charge deplete to about 15%. Set it to charge for the night. Next morning 100% charge. GREAT I thought. Used the Nexus all day, let the charge deplete down to the 15% level (when you get the low power warning) and set it to recharge. Next morning 0% charge. Its been in the charger now for 2 days. It will not take a charge. Still at 0% level. So a complete waste of money and TIME (since it shipped from China it took weeks to get here). This review refers to the Google Nexus 7 Tablet Replacement Battery sold by the third party reseller Fly-lucky. More like fly-by-night. Forewarned is forearmed.

Nice doing business with you.
So my Nexus 7 (2012) wasn't lasting very long. Even dormant with the screen off (but still powered on) it wouldn't last more than a day off the charger. If I was actually using the tablet, forget about it. I might get an hour of screen on time, maybe. I know just removing the back cover voids the warranty, but why should I care on two year old tech, so I ordered the replacement through Amazon from Bestmatch which is actually a company called "KR-net Limited". I placed the order on August 20th and was told to expect delivery between September 16th and October 2nd. What?!? Thankfully I wasn't in a big hurry or I'd certainly have cancelled the order and gone to another vendor. As it turns out the battery arrived at my home today, August 27th. That was a nice surprise! Installation took a minute or two, and no tools. The new battery was shipped with only about a 25% charge, so it's happily sucking down some electricity on the other side of my desk while I write this. Obviously I can't speak yet to the duration of the battery, but hey, it's a new battery, gotta be better than the one I had right? :)Anyway, four stars. I couldn't give you the fifth because of the multiple vendor names (a bit odd) and the way off-the-mark delivery date prediction, but you did get it to me in just 5 business days and it's exactly what I expected it to be. I'm happy.

don't waist your money
Crap battery. Followed directions and charged for a full day prior to 1st use. Holds a charge about 3 hours. Contacted seller and they replaced with exactly the same crappy battery. These are not new, nor are they equal to the original batteries in the Nexus 7. Wish there was a source for NEW batteries. The claimed new have just been refurbished.

So far this battery has lasted long. I had bought one from Ebay before this one, but it lasted only 2 weeks. I couldn't even return it because sending it back to China would have cost more than the battery. It's tough to fully trust online purchases even if it claims to be from the manufacturer. So I can't give it 5 stars because I 'm afraid that it will fail in the near future.

I suspect this is not an Asus part but rather your typical Chinese bootleg.. The label say 16Wh on both but the original is larger and claims 4325mAh while the replacement says 4270mAh. Just installed it in an old N7, so we'll see how things go. I'll revise my rating up or down based on the long term perf.

Good for a Single Charge Only
I was able to charge the battery once which seemed to assure me I had not damaged it during replacement. After that, it would no longer take a charge though it showed it was charging. Given this took nearly two weeks to come, and was shipped from China (I'm probably not going to call for customer service), I think this is just a lost cause.
