Doorbell for hard of hearing mother.
My mother, at 93, lives at her home with her 87 year old sister. They are both pretty hard of hearing and we had tried other doorbells but this one has worked best for them. The light will grab their attention even if they don't hear it, which they normally do because it is pretty loud. If they move to different rooms they just unplug it and take it with them and plug it up in the room they are in and it works great. Overall we are all very pleased with this product.

Easy to install, and, strobe function notifies you even when you cannot hear the bell because of noise.
Excellent product. Mom is getting hard of hearing and was not hearing the doorbell when the television was very loud. I put this unit directly in front of and to the bottom of the television screen. Now, when the new doorbell button is pushed, she may not hear it but the strobe flashes and catches her attention and she knows someone is at the front door. Works great.

Good functionality but imcompatible with PowerLine Ethernet
It works well for a deaf user. The strobe is bright, albeit a bit of time lag from the moment when transmitter button is pressed. The button battery needed hard press to get it in place. Drawback: You can't expect to pay less for an extra receiver to be used in another room. You have to buy the entire set. Update on September 10, 2021 I have 3 receivers. No longer work since last year. Ran tests in different houses and still failed to make the units work. Would be happy to send to the factory for diagnosing service. Update on March 9, 2018 If you want to have more receivers to work with one transmitter, the easiest way is to follow these steps for each receiver: 1. hold one transmitter, 2. plug in one receiver to an outlet, 3. press the learn button on the receiver, 4. press the transmitter button, 5. repeat steps 3 and 4 until the receiver and transmitter are paired. Update on May 31, 2017: This device is based on X10 standard, which prevents you from using PowerLine Ethernet wired network at home.

Not loud at all
I've come to the conclusion that all of these so-called loud doorbells that are electronic chime based, just cannot be made to be loud. The strobe works great. But the chime itself is no louder than any other doorbell. It's not useful for its intended purpose.

Looks good, easy to set up, but disappointing
I would not recommend purchasing this item to anyone, either hearing or hard of hearing/deaf. Although easy to install, well-made, and having a nice appearance, this is not — in my opinion — even an adequate doorbell for someone who can hear well. The doorbell sound is quite soft and muted; it’s relatively easy for hearing people to miss. The strobe light is great, but it only flashes a set number of times and it is only visible within a fairly close distance, which must be near an electrical outlet. There is no way to mount the strobe higher on a wall unless there’s an outlet there. Overall, it’s easy to miss and doesn’t do a very good job of doing what it is supposed to do.

Easy Set Up and Great Alert System
This has been a great solution for my mom who lives in an independent living facility, she’s deaf, and watches TV with extreme loudness. Now she can answer the door and not miss any more friends and family trying to visit her. Easy install and set up.

Works as advertised.
I bought this for the strobe light so the delay while music plays is a little long. We put the button in a weather proof box as we do not have a covered porch. It says it is weather proof but having lost a more expensive system due to weather we are taking no chances. Don't mount it on metal instead mount on wood attach wood to metal. I wish it came with instructions but you can find the manual online. I gave it 5 stars because it does what it says it will.

Push button is broken! Can’t return it as the seller did not leave contact info. So disappointed! Wish I can just have the push button replaced. Yes I have changed batteries, still not work. The little light does not show. It means something wrong with the button!
