BIONOVAAcne and Acne Scar Discovery Collection with UV Chromophores (3pk)

I have oily skin and I am happy to say this product did not cause more acne. In the last few months, I have had several breakouts on my chin and this product did get rid of those bumps and for that I give it 4 stars. I will tell you there are other products that are mentioned in the instructions that are not included in this kit. Speaking of instructions, the pamphlet that is in the box is quite confusing so know, the instructions are the last items listed. I stopped one section too soon and thought I was reading the instructions but I was not. Also, every product has a different scent, which I found to be odd. None of the scents are bad, they all just seem to be a bit odd to me.As I mentioned, I have oily skin naturally and I am happy this product did not cause additional acne but it definitely leaves my face feeling like an oil slick the next day after I use it at bedtime.I do like this product but I am going to try and use only the face wash and see if that helps with the added oils.

My teen tried this system out but it didn’t work out for her b/c (1) the funky smell of the products, (2) long instructions, (3) cleanser pump broken. She is reluctant to try it out again, especially b/c of the smell.3 acne products are included in this set - the treatment cleanser, acne and acne scar treatment cream, and Bioactive cream activator for acne skin.This set is an acne treatment and acne scar reduction system so does takes time to understand the system and its instructions. The instructions are about a page long and there are unique steps for each product. For example, the treatment cleanser can be used as a cleanser by leaving on for a 1-2 mins and rinsing off, but can also be used as a treatment by repeating the cleansing step, reapplying, leaving on for 2-4 mins and then rinsing off.The products smell funky. The smell is hard to pinpoint. Not clearly a medicinal smell.The pump on the cleanser I received does not work, we had to pour out to use.Unfortunately, didn’t work for my teen.

This actually had a medical smell to it. Everything goes on easily. The cleanser foams up with a little water. I have not been using it long enough to say whether it makes a noticeable difference yet or not. I do question the actual acne treatment though. It has an oily feeling base to it. How this helps oily skin, I do not know.

BIONOVA Acne treatment trio is a great product for anyone suffering from breakouts and regular acne. I have been including the wash and cream in my daily skincare routine and have noticed a difference in the reduction of new breakouts and minimizing of current pimples/zips. I have not yet noticed a difference with minimizing of old acne scars but am hoping that I would with long-term and regular use since I have not been using the product for too long.
