BrooksMens Launch 7 Running Shoe

These are the most neutral shoes I've ever run in. They are for supinators, which is what I am, and that makes sense. They make you feel a bit flat-footed if you supinate, which is probably what they're supposed to do. I would not say they have extra support. They actually feel a bit malleable. In other words, they move with your feet. They are also very breathable, which you usually want unless you're running in rain or mud. Do with this as you will. They also seem true to size and have a good, wide toe-bed.

I rarely bugy shoes in the $100, usually buy them at deals in other store but I went for this one. It did not amaze me at first at all. I think they are comfortable but they do not push you if you are expecting that. Overall I happy after using it for 2 months not everyday though. I am rating it 5 star not because I am super impressed with it but I do not want to rate it low if I do not see any visible problem with it. I loved my addidas Lite Runner though, which feels great EVERY time I wear them.--Update after an year. The shoes are solid, and still comfortable. I highly recommend. Great for hiking, jogging and general walking around.

SO, I didn't notice when I ordered these that the shoes were colored to be exact opposite of each other. When they arrived, I was a little confused but as I laced them up and whatever, I discovered how SICK this shoes really are. They are AWESOME. They are essentially an American flag expressed through shoe design. There are stars on the red side Brooks logo and stripes on the blue side Brooks logo. They are SO comfortable and the colors are just fantastic. They thought of every detail. The laces are one blue, one red. Everyone I show them off to say, dude...those are awesome. I was NOT paid to write this review and straight up...comfortable, good for walking, good for running, lightweight and they look awesome. Only ONE thing, the white gets scuffed up easily, but sneaker cleaner can fix that.

This is a good shoe but it isn’t as good as last year’s model or even my two year old ASIC Gel Nimbus 20’s with respect to cushioning. In my opinion last year’s Glycerin 17 was a better shoe in every way. The upper on the 18 is a fine weave and thin with little cushioning on top of the toe box. Sometimes when I am walking fast, on gravel, I kick up a rock and then kick it with the top of my other foot. While this is always painful, the thin top and lack of cushioning makes this excruciating with the Glycerin 18. The biggest disappointment is the cushioning level of the Glycerin 18. While it is good and soft, it isn’t as good as the 17 and it is not as good as the cushion level in my two year old ASIC Gel Nimbus 20’s.The 18 is lighter than the 17, but, I don’t care as much about the weight on a level 3 cushioning shoe. For their level 3 cushioning shoe, the level of cushioning should take precedence over every other design consideration.The fit is close if you wear no sock or a super thin sock. I wear a thicker cotton sock so I order 1/2 size larger and one size wider and that fits me pretty well (closer to the fit of a normal shoe or New Balance tennis shoes).After walking well over 100 miles in these shoes they have grown on me. I added a fourth star and I think they definitely meet the definition of a soft cushioned shoe.

My husband is a 6'2" athletic guy (not overweight) and needs a great deal of support as well as comfort since he pretty much stands and lifts pets all day. These newer Brooks are even better than the last pair with more arch support and comfort than last year's model which he loved. He feels they are true to size since he wears them with socks and takes a 12.5. Probably will buy another pair since he is so horribly hard on shoes. He prefers the darker color since working around pets and people can get a bit grungy, but these stay clean looking at least. Excellent product.

This was my first Brooks shoe, and after two more pairs, I don't think any other brand will ever get my loyalty again. It's the perfect jack-of-all-trades shoe that I use everywhere, every day, and it excels in every scenario and facet.

Just over twelve months ago I bought two pair of Brooks Ghost 11 Running shoes at a shoe store. One pair for work and one pair for exercise. I am 6’ 3”, 250lb. After measuring, the salesman recommended size 14 in ‘D’ width, which felt a bit too snug for my tastes. I protested, he persisted, I relented. Twelve months later there came a point where my feet were sore after every walk/run. Despite the aid of Ibuprofen the pain persisted day to day. So, time for some new shoes. While shopping Amazon & Brooks site for my next pair I noted the comparison chart. The Ghost model has a Cushion Level of 2 of 3 in contrast to the Glycerin 18 which has a Cushion Level of 3 of 3. Not only did I opt for the Glycerin 18 model but I increased the width to WIDE(2E). Within only several days of use all foot discomfort was gone. There is a night and day difference in the comfort levels of these models/widths for me. They are so comfortable that within five days my feet are happy and my gait has changed to a longer stride.

There was a version of the Launch line (I think previous to this) that got away from what I loved about them. They were bulky and boxy, and they didn’t really even look like Launches, the simple but stylish and light with the right drop for me. These are back to what made them my favorite running shoes, although they are just a little stiffer, which wasn’t an issue for me. The price on Amazon was better than any running store I went to. I really love these shoes. Just a note: I’m a size 12 with a slightly narrow foot (actually, now that I think about it, BOTH of my feet are narrow), and they fit perfectly.

Love these running shoes. Third pair too date. Had the Brooks Glycerin 14 then 15 and now the 18. Very comfortable and I find they absorb the impact well when jogging. Also find them the lightest pair I have bought to date.
