Q: Do they actually look like professional work pants? Or more like yoga pants?

If you hem the pants, then they would be suitable for work. The raw hem is utterly tacky. I tried to cut mine as directed, and it's not easy material to cut. Fisher's Finery and both have pants that are so much nicer and more comfortable. The big plus with other brands, you don't have to cut to length.

Q: Do these pants have matt or shiny finish?

They're matt don't shine at all and fit my curves amazingly

Q: What are the washing instructions?

I wash them in cold water with Tide, clorax 2 for colors and a scent booster to make them smell good. Our water in Lorain stinks like dead fish. I don't even drink that water. Spring water only. No special soaps needed unless you want. These pants are well made and hold up well
