AKO Super Dual Fleece All-Surface Anti Slip Gripper Underlay - 60 x 120cm

Well, I have a lot of experience with rugs on carpets, all sizes. Ever since I was a youngster my family enjoyed rugs on carpets. However, the weekly pulling and stretching was a constant nightmare, and no different for me decades later - until I truly searched for the best product I could find to solve this issue. I was cautiously optimistic I would get decent results with this product. However, I did not, and instead got brilliant results. I have bought the Super product numerous times. I also use their hard floor product on my hard floors. In all, I find it truly worth it, and have zero regrets.

Initially I gave this product an excellent review but with hindsight I wouldn’t recommend for use on carpet. It’s quite tacky and over time the colour bleeds and stains the carpet. It’s fine on hard floor but that’s not why I bought it. I got it to stop a runner moving around and although it works it’s the worst decision I’ve made. The carpet has taken heavy industrial cleaning over several attempts to remove the stick residue and colour bleed from the felt. Not for carpet!

I bought what turned out to be a bit of fabric called a rug. As I loved the design, I kept it and have put it down on a varnished wooden floor with two layers of this underlay. It's magic. Sticks to the floor, itself and my 'rug' . Being thin, vaccuming would have been impossible but with the underlay sticking it down, no problem. Cuts to size easily, even cut round the radiator pipe with ease. Normal rugs that need keeping in place would only need the one layer. You can even lift it up and wash underneath every now and again. The floor is fine. Love it.

Used between carpet and rug...It works! I have been totally fed up with my 'creeping' rug in front of the fire, thought I would give this a try - £25 for the size required so had everything crossed that it wouldn't be wasted. It wasn't. Even 2 lively dogs rolling about the floor haven't managed to make the rug move since I put the underlay down. Very happy and would certainly recommend.

I had tried a number of unsuccessful solutions to prevent my hearth rug moving when walked on. I think the problem was exacerbated by there being a carpet under the rug with a fairly long pile.This gripper was excellent. It was simple to install and could be cut to size easily. It was not too thick so not noticeable under the rug. Having used it, There was an immediate improvement, however I did that it did took a few days to become most effective after installation.I woul definitely use this product again.

I just took delivery of the "Rugs & Stuff" anti slip rug underlay. Package was delivered nice and quick - about three days before the day given. Package went through our standard sized letter box OK. When opened, the underlay had a slightly sticky feel to it (on both sides) as described on the accompanying leaflet. I opened the underlay and laid it on the carpet where rug was going to go. Place rug on top and hey presto, no "creeping" rug! I will now order a couple more pieces for the hall rugs. Well worth the money. A good quality product which actually works.

This stuff works excellently! I have tried other underlays and nothing had ever worked for runaway rugs on carpet. I have had an OKish result with another cheaper brand but only with a rug on vinyl flooring. However, this fleece underlay has solved my runaway rug on carpet nightmare. I never thought I'd find an underlay that'd work but how wrong was I. I am over the moon happy about it.P.S another reviewer lamented bleeding issues from the fleece on carpet but I haven't experienced that. Hopefully it stays this way.

Only gave a four star due to the runner still creeping a wee bit, however, really quite not as much as it was before the anti-slip underlay. I also think that it may be due to the fact that we have it at an angle from door to door, thus going against the grain of both the runner and the anti-slip underlay? Maybe.The one we got for the rug in a bedroom has not moved since the day we put it down, so it really does work!Would recommend for any rug / runner that moves on carpet.
