Spitfire Mk.II Model Kit, 1: 48 Scale

I bought this model for my fiancé so that he could use it for a school project. He was able to assemble the product with ease. He did his own painting scheme and was able to place the stickers without any issue. The plane turned out great and was the perfect size to be manipulated and mounted for his project.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Fun to build

My son bought and assembled this model, and this is his review: This was a pretty good model, listed as a level 3 model, but was more like a 2 and 3 quarters. The kit box was packaged OK, but once you open up the plastic pouch containing the pieces, it's hard to get them back in. The instructions were IN COLOR which was super helpful! The pieces were molded in white plastic, there were no molding malfunctions, and they didn't accidently snap off and get lost. Except for a fit issue (The landing gear when folded), assembly was easy. Not too many paints were needed. The decals went on amazingly with Micro Sol. For some reason, the red dot in the center of the RAF symbol was its own decal, so it ended up looking a little crooked. Unfortunately there was no pilot figure. I think the kit was worth the money, wasn't too complicated, and can't wait to do my next kit from Revell!

The plastic is very bad quality. Parts do not assemble perfect.

This was a gift!

The model was purchased for our 9 year old grandson, but when he started assembling the model the instructions were written in German.

Okay so I just wanted a nice model of this incredible plane from WW II. Absent the fact that it's pretty basic as per the level 3 complexity, I'm really surprised that the parts are not already colored and you need glue...duh. Almost like a lead in to buy additional items from Revell such as glue, paint and tools? Anyway I'll look for more complete products.

Haven't really started the model yet but everything looks good, I did the same model a few years back and it turned out great. At that time I also did a Hawker Hurricane to commemorate the Battle of Britain ,the same scale 1/48 but I haven't seen any around for ages, anyway I'm happy with the service again, thanks again.

Es una maqueta de Revell, esta marca está caracterizada por hacer maquetas de buena calidad, sin grandes rebabas y encajan perfectamente, y esta es una más. No pongo fotos pues aún no la monté. Atención, no es una maqueta montada, es una maqueta de plástico para montar, con sus instrucciones, llevan su tiempo a montar, ideal para los aficionados de las maquetas, prestar atención a las piezas pequeñas. No trae pintura ni pegamento.
