This wasn't quite what I was expecting. I thought it was going to be simply like the regular Cinnamon Oil by Lorann, but twice as potent. In fact, I don't think it's very much hotter than the Cinnamon Oil, but it's flavor is definitely distinct. There's a hint of woodiness; a bit of clove, maybe. It makes me think of being outside in a forest, smelling the petrichor. I have to say, I personally prefer the original Cinnamon Oil to this Hot Cinnamon.UPDATE: I've pinpointed the taste. It tastes like how those cinnamonn pine cones smell.

My daughter uses this to add a couple drops to her water so it has a little flavor . Paired with her water syrups .

I have been using this product for over 20 years making Christmas chocolate raspberry truffles. The flavor is intense and the cost is reasonable.Will be using hopefully for 20 more years.

I don't know but I expected a bit more. I still had to use some flavor blockers from another company. But after that, it's really good and tasty.
