Did my research and no surprises. Love the Phone!
It only took 2 days to get my unlocked, HTC U20 5G from the sellers. I was extremely pleased to have received it so quickly. I noticed in a few reviews how the phone would not work for some. I made sure to check the specs and requirements (type of sim) it worked with GSM, and got it. This was a change from my previous phone but the phones will work over WiFi to transfer your information with your preferred phone-phone transfer app. The sellers were very clear with documentation that they would only accept the return with all original contents un-blemished, so I was carful until I had all components, including protective casing before I even attempted to use the phone. It probably took the longest, just to have my service provider transfer my number over. The phone is much larger than my other phone. Beautiful! It syncs (once set up) immediately with wireless earbuds (it could be the other way around. LOL). it is missing the old HTC apps, but I'll live. It also is missing boom sound, which is clearly missing from the specks if you read them beforehand. I settled for processing over sound, my earbuds are great. The battery life is the best that I've ever had. I was able to watch 3 hours worth of a streaming tv show and it only used about 10% battery charge. i listen to POD casts for hours and I still did not have to charge until the end of the day, and I probably still would have had 20-30% battery life to play with. Though the screen is large, compared to my last phone, the video ratio might not always fill the screen, which is interesting but not a deal breaker. It's not as heavy as it is large, which I like. I'm missing the earphone jack on the phone because I used that to connect to the audio in my car (my car is older w/o blue tooth) but I just found an adapter I can use for the car and the phone comes with appropriate plug in earbuds. The fingerprint reading is well placed if you consider how you hold the phone. I love the upgrade in speed, the memory is off my charts. It's a little off-putting at first with the front camera part of the screen but you get use to it. Read up on the phone before you buy and you will not be disappointed!

Great device!, just ensure you check what signals your carrier/this device uses.
Make sure you are aware of which signals your GSM carrier uses, and which bands are supported, especially in north america for this phone. This device is an Asian / European phone (CID: HTC_622 "Asia-HK-CHT") if you have good service for 2500MHZ 5G (sprint's 5G that T-Mobile now controls) and don't mind not using most of it's radio bands (TMobile works in most areas, just not always LTE, many times just uses HSPA+ 4G) then this phone is amazing. Also it is true that most all the HTC branded apps will not allow you to install them on this phone, unfortunately. I do love the phone overall and though I still use my HTC Exodus, the camera is amazing on the U20, very happy with how well and easy it is to capture very good pictures and it has great battery life. Looking forward to changing some things under the hood but out of the box, if you did your research on the signal and bands it works with it's a great phone especially if you travel overseas at all.

The phone is terrible!!!
Some of the features did not work properly. When I made a call and the sound only came through the speaker. The person on the line could not hear me at all and if someone called me, the call would drop seconds after it was answered.

Good Phone Love It
Love my new phone, love how good quality it took with the camera, took a pic of my sister and this capture the snow coming down on her most cameras on most phones wouldn't have done that, I like that it has 5 cameras, 4 on the back and 1 on the front, I'm a hTc fan, been a hTc fan since 2011 or 2012, I also like how I charge my phone in the morning and the battery last all day, and I like how fast It loads up my apps and web pages, and I like how fast it sends messages and post on my social media, I recommend this phone to anyone.

Familiar HTC quality and reliability, great value
I've used HTCs happily for many years so am biased, my last (U11) was going strong after 5 years until I smashed the screen (still works). I wanted another HTC. I'm really pleased with this phone; it's not aimed as a 'flagship' however it is surprisingly good and certainly as good or better than my U11. It feels quality in the hand (despite a plastic back) with attention to detail. It is a big phone, I worried that it would be too big (not able to try anywhere before buying) however I'm actually really enjoying it. Battery life is great, another league from my U11. Traditional HTC apps are sadly gone except for weather/clock. Still, it feels familiar HTC - solidly built, fast and just works. I don't know why people don't rate HTC, this phone is terrific value and not so far behind newer flagships, even with 5G? Ok the screen is LCD but it's good; I'm not a huge fan of the big rounded corners but that seems the trend. The rear fingerprint sensor is old-fashioned, but again it just works. My main criticism (hence 4 stars) would be that HTC have not upgraded the Android 10 to 11 or 12, and the last security update is from Feb 2021. Am I missing much, I don't know? I use antivirus and am careful about what I install. But hey, to me it delivers, and it's fun to use! It even still has a notification led which I find really useful. At this price and quality, what's not to like?

Broken on arrival
Phone was broken on arrival. Speaker phone was all that worked. Shortly after even the speaker went out leaving me with a quiet tablet. They offered to replace but only after I sent the broken one back. That would effectively leave me without a phone so I bit the bullet and got stick with the bill. Great phone overall. 5g does not work in the US though.

Service with Tmobile was horrible
We got this originally on cricket network and was fine, switched to t-mobile and even though it technically worked with the provider it did not get crap for service, couldn't make calls, get texts or anything at home and all our other phones are fine. Tried new sim card and it was the same, had to get a new phone so now its useless to me.
