Is this mat machine washable or good enough for a good hygienic wipe over

Personally I wouldn’t just wipe over ,,but they wash very very well and still look and are as effective as the first time used

Description says 'sweat-absorbent' and 'waterproof'. which is correct? will liquids be absorded or stay on surface to be wiped?

The mat has been used in the garden and was caught up in a light shower but the mat didn't absorb the be water and wiped dry in minutes. Sweat does not lay on the surface during use. It is perfect for indoor use but only on dry days outside.

where / what is the carrying strap - mine didnt come with it?

It was just like a shoelace that held it together, not what I would call a strap. I admit I have not put it back on again, just roll it up and leave in the garage!
