Bat blocker
We used this steel wool to block the upending to our eves where bats sometimes roost. We tried everything to get them to go elsewhere. They would leave for a couple days but always return. So far so good! No bat dropping on my deck. It was easy to use and the gloves were a bonus! I’ll report back if they somehow return, but I can’t see that happening!

Nice - like the packaging too.
The pads are not large, but the value is good for the purchase quantity. These come vacuum packed which arrives flat. Stores conveniently, but what is especially nice is the vacuum package form keeps these rust free as the unused pads are stored. These were purchased to clean up a chrome exhaust on my motorcycle where my rubber boots left marks on the super hot metal. Soles melted and left a scar on the pipes. The steel wool worked perfectly in making the chrome look brand new without scratching. There was no deterioration of the pad with hard scrubbing, just normal wear.

Excellent product, great value, does the job
It does the job perfectly if you need small holes and cracks around the house and garage to be filled to deter pests from coming inside. The pads are small but you can use more than one for larger holes if needed. Easy to cut, easy to handle. It has helped with the issue tremendously.

I purchased for my mouse exclusion project...
First of all, the reason for just four stars instead of five is because it is very poorly packaged. I don't think it would have killed the company to package the product a little bit better because the very second that you open it fibers start to fly out all over the place and they are very dangerous if you are anywhere near food or, well, anywhere at all because they can get into your eyes and are very abrasive on your skin and very dangerous to your pets. Other than that the product is very useful in mouse exclusion (the definition of mouse exclusion is preventing them from getting into your home to start with). In discovering that mice were partying down under my dishwasher and stove I knew I had to do something. I am an animal lover but putting that completely aside, you cannot get rid of mice by poisoning them or laying conventional traps. Not only do those methods ineffective for very long but they are heinously brutal and cruel. The ONLY way to get rid of the little varmints is by "excluding" them from your home. In order to exclude the little munchkins from your house you need to get this product and use rubber gloves with it. Find any holes that you can possibly find that my store coming in through and stuff it in the holes that you find. If it is a hole, for example, behind the stove where the gas comes in, stuff it thoroughly and then mud over it. If you are going under the sink or behind the dishwasher you would stuff this into the holes and then cover with copper mesh using a staple gun as well as adding caulk wherever possible. Peel and stick caulk can be very effectively used after applying the steel wool to smaller spaces. Be certainty always use rubber gloves and dispose of the rubber gloves immediately. Don't bother trying to clean and reuse them. The fibers that come off of steel wool are far too hazardous to even bother taking a chance with. Store the product in a ziplock bag for future use if you have any left. I spotted the first mouse in February and the second one in April and I went through my entire home with the method that I briefly described and I'm pretty sure that I have excluded the critters from my home.

Great stuff to stop animals from digging holes!
We've had a problem the last few months with ground squirrels. They want to dig holes under sidewalks, next to foundation, etc. Have tried numerous methods, but putting this steel wool down holes has really helped. Since we've put this in holes we haven't seen any more activity.

Better than trying to find the gaps!
I have struggled with mice off and on over the years. Have filled spaces with steel wool in the past, but the long roll was the perfect width and I could cover everything instead of just looking for the trouble spots. I used this in the problem area and also sprayed it with Flex Seal after in place. It’s been a month with no horrible sounds in the wall. So far so good!

Not 0000 steel wool.
I also believe the stell wool claims to b 0000 and its not. I can feel it on my fingers. Much more course than a really fine steel wool which 0000 would b.

Did the trick
Used both rolls to block cracks left by the contractor that remodeled the kitchen. Have not seen a single mouse since.

It works. No more rats!
Bought this to block a couple of hard to reach (and fix) holes in the corners in my kitchen cabinet. The rats kept chewing things & pooping all over. No more!
