I am writing this just over a year after purchasing. Although this blanket was incredibly soft upon first arriving and it was my absolute favorite possession, it has quickly been worn. We do use it very often and I have had to wash it a few times - it was used as a couch throw- but the fur looks all matted and yucky now. Very disappointed with the lack of longevity of this item.

This is the softest, coziest, warmest, most unusable blanket ever!No matter how I washed & dried this blanket, it would not stop shedding! I tried hot water, cold water, with fabric softener, without softener, gentle cycle, regular cycle, high dryer heat, low dryer heat, and nothing helped. Even after 5 washings, it would NOT STOP SHEDDING! I figured surely the shedding would’ve stopped after all that washing, regardless of the method, but no such luck.My cats shed less than that blanket. I ended up throwing it away.

I love this blanket! I have purchased quite a few of them as gifts and as a throw for my guestroom. They are beautiful accent to any room or a great gift. I also love cuddling up with mine on a cold day.
