They are definitely big on me and kinda look like I’m wearing weird giant robot boots, but they’re not so big that they restrict my movement. They come up right to my knee and the foot pad completely covers my toes (which is probably good for better protection). I was concerned reading multiple reviews that noted getting chemical burns so I made sure to wipe the insides down with a Clorox wipe prior to using them.
