I admit that I was guided by the picture and did not understand how SMALL the item was.(Less than two inches long and about one inch thick) I will never buy from this seller again and I will warn all shoppers to be aware of this sleight of hand trick.

Planted in good soil two-three weeks ago. So far, nothing sprouting. Perhaps it needs more time! UPDATE: It didn't "sprout" ... dug down and it had disintegrated. Vendor notified TWICE to no avail ... won't be buying anything else from Country Creek Acres. Follow-up customer support non-existent. Can't recommend.

Planted the root and nothing come up, checked on it. There was no root there, it had disintegrated.

The root looked incredibly dried and old and rotted immediately after being planted

I received a healthy tuber with eyes on it. I will come back and update a month or so after planting.Update: Upon further inspection I didn't see any eyes on this and no roots from former growth. I did plant it and it sat there and did nothing, I dug it up and it was rotten.
