Cashmere Boutique 100% Pure Cashmere Pashmina Wrap Stole for Women – Lightweight, Daily Wear, Soft and Warm - 28" x 80"

I need a light silver gray and a wine colored shawl for two formal affairs. I bought one of each color from Cashmere Boutique(CB) and one of each in similar colors from a different company. Both sellers advertise as 100% pure cashmere pasmina. The other company charges half as much as CB. The CB shawls are labeled as cashmere and measure 28" x 88" including the fringe. The CB shawls have a matt finish and have a definite woven pattern visible. They are made with long strands of very wavey fiber. The fringe is woven nicely and has a knot at the end of each strand. The edge of the woven material, between the fringe strands looks neat and secure.. The other company's shawls are supposed to be 26"x 80". They are actually 26"x76". As you can see by the pictures, the strands of fringe are very fluffy and are not knotted at the end. Also, the edge of the weave, between the fringe looks insecure. The fabric is quite shiny, like a man made fiber and has much shorter fibers.The CB shawls are quite soft to the touch but the other company's don't really feel like pure wool and are thicker and softer.So, I'm trying to determine if these are both 100% pure pashmina cashmere so I did a burn test on a tiny bit of fibers from both companies. The CB smelled like burning hair and turned to ash. The other company's turned into a hard lump and didn't smell like hair.So, what's the verdict? The CB is definitely, IMHO, real and better quality. I'm keeping both of the CB shawls and returning the others. If I wanted run of the mill, possibly acrylic blend shawls, I could have gone to wally world.

It’s just right for day or night. Hand washed easy in cold water. Good value, great looking and feeling.

Larger size to use as wrap all year long. Luxurious and wonderful. Worth the wait.

Loved the softness and size

The shawl is extremely thin and fragile. The first time I wore it I had a skin tag on my finger and it broke a thread which developed into a hole before I got home. It now has a second hole and I’ve no idea what caused it.

So soft and warm and delivery was perfect!!

Spring Green - my favorite color, and this one is delicious. The scarf is soft, with a pleasant texture. Nice weight for a cool New England summer evening. Not itchy at all. Not as smooth as the acrylic ones. Good length for a once around style of wrap. All good, but the color is, for me, the best part, and that's pretty personal.
