Mortimer

A very fun read aloud book especially for pre K children.

The story itself We love it.... but this is tiny tiny.... I was expecting a small book, but this is smaller than a kids meal book... I gave it three stars because on the content.Update: I gave this five stars the first time I reviewed it because I was so disappointed with the size, but my three year old is fascinated by these tiny books... It's funny, he wants to read them every day, and the great thing is, he can take it everywhere because they fit anywhere...I don't give it the five stars because, me, the parent, would have wanted these to be a little bit bigger...What it occurs to me that these can be used as party favors, and children love them

Sent it to a friend for her son named Mortimer and she loved it.***I bought the hardback because I looked at the paperback and noticed that the only other picture of the item gives the exact size which is 3 inches. People leaving poor reviews because they failed to do give the minimum amount of effort should be ashamed of themselves. This is a great kids book, definitely better than the usual one sentence per page.

This is a tiny 4 inch by 4 inch book that you could read to a teeny, tiny chihuahua. Who still couldn’t read it. It was also a week late. I’m so mad - I could spit nails. Amazon should be ashamed.

This is a great book for young kids. It became one of their favorite books immediately. My 3 and 5 years old love this book.

I didn’t pay attention to the size listed. This book is tiny. Like what you child would use for a doll.

I bought this as a prank on my kid and wife. So for weeks I kept calling her Mortimer, calling the dog Mortimer, the cats, toys, myself and everything else. She was so mad about it I couldn't help myself but keep saying mortimer all the dang time. Anyways after a couple of weeks I bought this book and slipped it into the pile of books for bedtime. The wife picks it up and goes to read it, and the kids is like ITS NOT MORTIMER STOP SAYING MORTIMER MOMMY ITS NOT MORTIMER. Victory! Take that family!

This is a cute book that I am sure my students will enjoy over and over again.

The book is in Spanish. I have had to re-order for kindle in English. There was nothing to say what language it was in when I bought it. The kindle version is in Englsih though. It was a big disappointment as I was going to use the book in school with music. I do not take my kindle into work and prefer the children getting to have hands on the book otherwise too small. I had to get the kindle version onto a different device (tablet) as it was not suited for my old kindle.

Great book. Made the mistake of not checking the dimensions though, and it literally fits in the palm of my hand.

I felt I should write a review as I came on to see what fine print I missed about the size of this book. As you can see from the picture the book I received is tiny (our cat’s name is Dorabelle)Now I feel my problem was insignificant as unlike everybody else, at least mine is in English, teeny tiny English but not Spanish.

Written in 1971 by Robert Munsch, published in 1985, another book I remember in my youth. Its about a boy who just wont go to sleep at night and drives his entire family crazy by his singing “Clang, clang, rattle-bing-bang ...”My kids love the full page colourful illustration that is just full of things happening. They spend the time on each page and look around in the small detail. My young one points at the ball in the corner, teddy bear sitting on the dresser in one of the pages. Now as an adult, I can relate more ... "GO TO SLEEP!"
