Got this 24 pin to 6 pin cable adapter for my PSU to Dell motherboard. At first I was iffy wondering if it works since its taking all 24 pin (wires) and converting it to only 6 pins. Also I was unable to find this at my local Microcenter/Bestbuy or local IT stores. Gave it a try and worked instantly. Just connect the cables on both ends.

likes: cost, easy to install it works! I monitor my temps with sensor in Linux and everything is working great. dislikes: when the PC is off, the CPU fan gets loud until I manually turn off the PSU.

Have an Acer cheap desktop, tc-875 or tc-895 and you need to power an external GPS? This is your adapter to make that atx power supply with 24 pin connector adapt to the new atx12v0 power supplies. One drawback is the power supply will always be on, so either use a power strip to turn the pc off or on, or cut the little black jumper wire and wire in a switch to turn it on. Once the pc is on, it week shut down the power supply on its own. Saves you from buyers remorse when you get a 350 desktop and can't put in a gtx card that needs external power. Also works for newer dells with 6 pin connector. Before you plug in, make sure the 6 pin connector you get matches the color of the existing connector. Another brand I got was wired in reverse, this one is great! Saved me hundreds over buying a prebuilt gaming pc

Pretty decent cable, length on my cables was spot on so no complaints. Good fit for Dell Optiplex 5050 SFF, plug and play with standard ATX power supply.

Tore down my Acer Predator Orion 3000 and rebuilt it with an upgraded case, GPU and power supply. This was the final piece of the puzzle, I waited for 2 weeks, when it arrived I plugged it in and by some miracle this Frankensteined gaming PC turned on! Was worth the wait, model number Acer PO3-640-EB11 hope this helps someone!

Still in operation after almost a year - got regular powersupply to power up my dell pc that used the dell powersupply . I was afraid i might ruin my motherboard or it might not work. But was surprised it just worked. So read carefully which models this adapter supports. Worth the investment if going to keep your pc running for years and use better normal powersupply. NOTE: PSU stays on always even after shutdown, so if you want to power down it fully you have to unplug the power cable. I use a smart wifi switch to power it down fully when needed.
