I heard these may wear down and make noise. So far mine is great. It makes a little whirring noise that I am consciously aware is the mechanism that makes the LED light go, but I could hear the same sound from any other shower head and would just consider it the normal sound of the water pressure running through, so it's a non-issue. Other reviews say after a while this mechanism can malfunction and make very loud annoying high pitched sounds, and that is probably definitely a possibility down the road.So far I love it though. It is a really good shower head even without the lights. My old one developed a leak in the side that was shooting out at high pressure, but this one blows it away. I actually feel cleaner, and I didn't think shower heads could make that much difference.The LED lights are also very useful, not a gimmick at all. My water can get VERY hot, and I've felt the edge of the stream and been like, it's good, only to step in and be hit by very hot water. That mistake never happens now, and it's so convenient to know when it's just right. Right around where it goes from red to green is where I like it. Green is perfect.

This shower head is fantastic. My other shower head was very noisy, and the water flow / coverage was not that great. The main problem was that you had to reach / feel into the shower to see if the water was warm enough to get into the shower plus it took 1 minute minimum to warm up to a comfortable temperature. This new head allows us to visually see when the water is cold, warm, and hot, it allows us to set a temp that we like visually (color of blue, green, red depict 3 temp ranges), has versatile spray selections although we basically use just the rain shower setting. Also, a giant plus is how fast the shower warms up to temperature now - I'm guessing this benefit is because of better water flow allows the hot water to reach the head faster. Anyway, this is a perfect addition, is not a gimmick, and the product is attractive and appears to be well built. We have had it for 4 days, but so far so good!

It's not a bad shower head, though it does feel a bit on the cheap side in its construction; it's very obvious that it's just chrome plated plastic. It attached quite easily, with just hand tightening. From the feel of the materials, I was expecting it to leak, but it didn't. I didn't even use any sealing tape.The multiple shower modes all work quite well, and as advertised, and even a few weeks later, it's still working well.The lighting is a bit touch & go. When I first tried it, no light came on at all. I turned the water on & off a few times with no luck. When I changed the mode to the 'off' position then back on, that seemed to kick it into gear - sort of. It came on, but it was flashing various colors randomly, then settled on a random color - pink - for a while, but it was dim. I changed modes back to 'off' and then back to the normal shower mode and that got it to brighten up and pick the blue color. After that, the light worked fine and the colors changed with the temperature.However, this little song and dance goes on nearly every time I use it. The light comes on dim, usually flickering, and I have to change modes to get it to work right.When it works, it's pretty nice.

There are a lot of RGB showerheads on Amazon, and lots of reviews of them dying soon to go with it. I've had this 1 for over a year and a half, and everything still works great. I think this is 1 of the good ones. It's pretty awesome to shower with, and the different light colors for different temperatures is very helpful once you get familiar with how it's going to feel at different colors. I do wish it was brighter though, because it's still pretty dark to shower without the bathroom lights on. At least you can find the soap and shampoo easily if you shower during a power outage! But it's great mood lighting if you don't mind not being able to see much. It's also helpful as a temperature indicator, whether the bathroom lights are on or off.If you are having trouble attaching it in a way that doesn't leak, don't blame this showerhead. After a quick YouTube video, I learned how to attach a showerhead for the first time, using this product. Just remember to wrap the plumbers tape around the threads in the same direction that this showerhead screws on, and pull to stretch it as you wrap. If it's screwed on tight and still leaks, you probably need to unscrew it and add more tape.

--When I first saw this item, I was thrilled because I knew that a Shower head that changed colors between hot and cold would be a lot of fun and educational for my grandsons .I thought It would help in teaching them not to get into the shower until the color had changed. I was amazed with the concept of this product, because it did not use batteries. I bought the shower head, but I did not pay anywhere near what it is priced at today!. I Paid ALOT less for this EXACT item.-- I received the item on time during the Christmas holidays season. The shower head was delivered * on time *, which is Always very important to me. I took it straight out of the box and installed it. It looked great and looked as if it was made well from my prospective.The boys were so fascinated by the colors changing, that as soon as they would arrive all I would hear was "I`M So DIRTY GRANDPA" LOL......so they had a couple of showers a day when they came and stayed.-- * THEN EXACTLY * 16 days after I received this shower head...It just stopped working, no color at all!Then when the boys came over, hmmm....... lets just say they were NOT happy CAMPERS at all!! They turned into little monsters! LOL. So Grandpa went and bought a hot tub WITH LOTS OF CHANGING LIGHTS :) So the morel to THIS story is:SOME STORIES ALWAYS END WELL, ESPECIALLY WITH GRANDKIDS! WHEN THE GRANDCHILRENIt stopped working after 15 days

So far I like this product. Gives good pressure and the flow options such as the mist are very nice. Description sais all Chrome. How ever it is not all Chrome but painted all Chrome. You can get this same item at wal-mart for 34$. "All Chrome"
