Luxury, warmth and wicking
I bought these for my wife for Christmas and she loves them; they are amazingly soft, not itchy, and thick. I get that they are expensive, but that is also what makes them a great gift. If you have a special lady in your life who is constantly cold - she will love these. The best part is you are also doing yourself a favor because you will hear about her being cold less and your heating bill just might drop a little.Durability - I mention this because If you're new to alpaca, the only disadvantage i've found this material in general is that they get sort of a fur afro going are liable to shed more if you're not aware of this. Basically you just have to be more careful around rough surfaces so the fur doesn't get tugged out. These do have acrylic and nylon in them and this makes them hug tighter than just Alpaca hair alone. Overall you will get longer life out of them if you wear slippers with them since these will lose more of the 'fur' if you just wear them around the house. Even in a not to tight (around the calves for girls) boot I imagine they are more durable. Also FYI - the men's and women's version of these are just different size ranges. There really is nothing that makes this pair for a girl only. I tried them on myself and they did feel amazing but i would get the bigger size range for my size 12 to 13 feet. My wife wears and 8 - 8 1/2. I am thinking of getting a pair for myself to wear with my work boots when I am out in my uninsulated shop in the winter. I had some that were handmade from some other country as a gift and they were literally the only thing that kept my feet warm until they finally got a hole in the heel. The wicking properties of Alpaca are like nothing else i've tried. After many hours of hard work Literally all of the sweat from the inside of my goretex lined boots would end up wicking to the top of the boot around my ankles where it could evaporate and my feet were kept completely dry. I work hard in these boots in the cold winter. No matter the material, wool, smartwool, cotton- whatever i wore- my feet and socks would have noticeable mildly uncomfortable wetness and my toes would start to get cold after a few hours. It never happens with alpaca.

Truly amazing!
Warmth, quality, nice long length, softness are all incredible! Only disappointment is that we went in to buy another pair as soon as we tried our order and they’re out of stock! So now hubby and I will fight over who wears them in cold weather days!!!!

These are awesome
These socks are so warm. The only thing that I did not like about them, but my wife did was. that they came all the way up to my crotch. They were basically thigh highs. I wore just them to work one day and nothing else. I was wondering why I got tipped that day. Lol no really if your feet and legs are cold these are the socks you get. I would put a video in, but I don’t think they show it lol

Comfort.
This item was to be a gift. Very nice, but thought the packaging could have been nicer.

Greatly Reduced Cramps in my old calves
As I aged, my calves would sometimes wake me up cramping at night, especially if I kicked off the covers. I tried sleeping in a pair (long cut) and the cramps have stopped. They're both warm and incredibly soft. Expensive, but well worth it to me.

Thin low quality.
Not a good quality sock. I was surprised how thin it was and the all around poor quality. The elastic part that holds the sock up was coming apart and there were pulls on the socks right out of the package. For an over $40 sock, you would think they would have some sort of quality control. Immediately returned

Great, warm knee length sock!
Very warm knee length socks. Cant give long term appraisal as just purchased.Cushioned terry foot with standard knit leg. Thinner than my Antactic sock from another company also selling on Amazon. Very soft feel Alpaca.Time will prove the level of comfort and durability.

MOD socks better
Comfortable but not nearly as warm as I had hoped , socks quickly disintegrated when worn around the house , wool everywhere !
