Simply fantastic!
This is great soldering iron for electronics.Build quality is great. It is light, solid, and very comfy to use.Basic tip is perfect for small electronic parts soldering (I am not talking of course about really small IC chips).Quality of joint is excellent.To be honest with this tool I would seriously question the need for the soldering station. I don't see any.And the price for all this is easily affordable.

Easy
Although you really can't set different temperatures, it heats up to an appropriate temperature within 5 minutes or so which is really impressive. I like it because it's really easy to use, just plug it in and wait, but I do think it could be a little better with an onboard on/off switch. But yet again, I can't complain as this is one of Hakko's baseline products

So much better than the cheapo irons I have been using.

Worst soldering iron I've ever used.
This is by far the worst soldering iron I've ever used. It doesn't get hot enough to melt the solder properly, it only gets hot on one spot about 10mm from the point of the tip. I've burnt out so many components trying to use this thing. I'm going back to my cheapo £7 one. It's miles better than this. I would recommend you avoid if possible.
