Glass Science Rain Clear Windshield Repellant Gel 4 oz

This product is amazing for preventing water spots on glass. Nor only on windshields but any glass. My shower door glass installer applied it to my new glass shower doors. One application lasted 3 years at my rental house and I would recommend any Unelko Corp. products.

Once your windshield is cleaned with Glass Scrub, the Rain Clear makes rain water streak across the glass so fast you don't need windshield wipers. I also find it creates a coating that bugs won't stick to so you can clean bugs off much easier.

Do not recommend. I put on window and every time you try and clean the windshield it just smears. You have to retreat to get a clean window back. I gave up using this product (threw it out) and Rain-X (New and Improved) is crap. Rain-X of 25 years ago was a fantastic product, then they sold the company and forget Rain-X. Do NOT recommend. I leave just virgin glass.

The spray version is much better. The version make the wipers chatter and it doesn't last. Spoke with Rain Clear and they advised using less. It didn't matter. For some reason the spray version is just way better.

This stuff is amazing. In comparison to products like Rain-X, there is no comparison. A little goes a long way. I can probably do my windshield at least a dozen times or more with this bottle. I applied it 6 months ago, and can still see it is working somewhat. I think the secret is making sure you have the cleanest windshield you can get. I cleaned my windshield first by using 0000 steel wool (IT MUST BE 0000, since anything more abrasive will scratch your windshield). If you don't have 0000 steel wool, a wet sponge and some Bon Ami non-abrasive powder cleaner works wonders. I actually used both. Not having to use your windshield wipers at all, actually makes this stuff last longer on your windshield since you aren't getting the film left from the rubber of the windshield wipers. A small dab (about the size of a quarter) of Rain Clear on a soft rag (I used a micro-fiber cloth) and work it in. No need to let it dry and buff off like Rain-X. Move onto another section of your windshield until you have completed the entire surface. I then went over the windshield again with a separate micro-fiber cloth to make sure there was no residue from the Rain Clear. The only complaint some people may have, is that you have to be driving about 45 mph or so in the rain to see the full effect.
