A great product! Great color options.
I have been using this brand for quite a while now. Previously, I have used strawberry blonde and red. I just ordered sherry/light auburn and I LOVE it!It does take longer to use a henna powder, but I like the results better. I like using tea or coffee to intensify the color as well as, olive oil to moisutrize and maybe a touch of essential oil to add a scent. While there is a slight smell, I've learned that if I rinse VERY well, it's gone pretty quickly and the color lasts longer than a creme or liquid pre-mixed blend. Plus.... I can get quite a few colorings from one jar of this product, making it very cost effective. With so many choices of shades you can find just the right one or blend to get a custom color.I highly recommend this brand.

When the Ends Justify the Means.
I selected this product because I wanted to give my natural color a bit of a pick me up, spice up the do a bit and yet avoid harsh chemicals. My hair is tough to color and it always ends up taking more product/chemical/time and thus money. This seemed like an affordable alternative and I had high hopes based on the reviews that this could be exactly what I was looking for.I followed the package directions, and liked the suggestions of adding tea/coffee and olive oil to help the products vibrancy and conditioning. I chose roobios tea, since the recommendations suggested it would add a punch to the red color I selected (Sherry). The outcome of the whole process was a wonderful color that looks like an enhanced version of my natural color. Not too bold, gentle fade at the hairline vs. a stark line of new color. I've paid hundreds of dollars and spent hours in a salon to achieve this look before. It's a more vibrant version of my natural color. I'm sold on your product.Down points, frankly it looks like baby poop. And not the I'm still on milk baby poop, that is tight and compact yellowish green. But the full diet, I just exploded a diaper, baby poop. My trash can and bathtub looked like a bad weekend of the stomach flu. It also smells like death. Not an easy death either, but a long drawn out one. Once I washed the henna out with shampoo, the tub looked like a crime scene or what I imagine the sinks the Red Lobster look like after deveining shrimp for an all you can eat shrimp extravaganza. My hair still smells of death, but a clean death vs. a dirty scandalous one.Would I buy this again? You'betcha. My hair is soft, and bouncy. I hope the color holds as the packaging states, not sure I could do this to myself willingly on a regular basis. Will update about the color hold and how long it took for the smell of death to wane.Additionally, I've noticed that the cat is far more interested in being in my presence then ever before... perhaps due to the smell. The jury is still out on whether this is a pro/con to the product.Selling Points: The smell may give you the night off from sexy time. If you leave the contents of trash can and residue from the shower in tact... you could probably feign illness and get your husband to buy take out for dinner. Maybe even clean the bathroom for you, while you netflix in bed to "recover".Absolutely would buy it again, the results thus far sell me on the ends justifying the means.

Henna seems fine - Nutricity has poor shipping!
I'm a medium/ashy blonde with months-old dyed light-red hair. I want a light/natural redhead look when I'm done so I started with the Persian Sherry (the lightest 'red' tone available). I've been trying hair swatches as is recommended, plucked from my hairbrush's deadfall. I'm getting happy with the results when I leave the dye on for about 4+ hours (the longest you can really leave henna on hair because it ceases to oxidize/color at that point). I may want to add more red/darker tones using the Persian Red but we'll see about that. The dye smells like fresh cut hay or grass, it washes out with hot or cold water (and I have very 'hard' mineral water!), it only colors my existing hair color(s) to be the same light/darkness as my own hair - it doesn't make the hair much darker/lighter like chemical dyes can. I used the hot water dispensor on the sink for the test swatches - heat is best for making the paste and letting it set in your hair. I plan to use boiling water as suggested in the instructions. I also did not let the test henna 'set' because there wasn't much to it (half a teaspoon or less). I used only plastic bowl/spoon because metals can affect the henna and your hair. As far as I know, to the extent of my research, the henna has done its job. I wasn't happy to see additional ingredients on the label (which Amazon/Rainbow Research/Nutricity did not include more photos of): Lawsonia Inermis (the henna) and Indigofereae (the surprise ingredient - seems okay - it is another type of henna/plant). It is the correct color. 4 ounces/113 grams seems like a lot/plenty, even for my 15+ inches of straight hair, but we'll find out.Do your research before you attempt henna so you aren't disappointed! The directions given are different than what I know is possible for henna, so I went with what I thought/knew best.My biggest issue was the waiting/shipping. I ordered this tiny package June 26th and received it July 7th. Yes, it arrived one day before the last possible day(July 8th). Be very careful when you order (at least from Nutricity, like I did) - they will promise a quick delivery date only if you select expedited shipping. That is ridiculous! If you don't have it in stock, don't advertise that you have it available to ship! (I know that henna plants are not usually grown in the United States). Also, don't say 'usually ships within 4-5 days' - 4-5 DAYS! I don't usually have problems with USPS so I'm thinking it was all the seller. I will buy Rainbow Research again, but not from Nutricity.

Wonderful Brand
I have been using this brand of henna for about 5/6 years. If you are not too familiar with henna just take note that it doesn't turn it's final color till about a week afterwards. At first it will look very yellow and brassy after dying, try not to wash it again after rinsing it out for as long as you can stand (at minimum a day or two) and you will notice the yellow start to go away (it's the henna oxidizing). Then it will take 2 or 3 more washes till all the extra dye comes out and the red tones down. I try to do it on a Friday so by Monday the brassy/yellow color isn't so extreme. Hope this helps a bit.

Good color lasts a good amount of time.
I mix this henna with Light brown by rainbow research and it brings me to a nice auburn shade that goes well with my complexion. Just know that using henna isn't as easy or quick as slapping commercial hair dye on your head, but once you learn to use it , it's fabulous. Many complain about the difficulty of rinsing the product out. Try mixing with a few tbsp. of yoghurt or olive oil. That seems to help it rinse more easily. Also adds some moisture to your hair.
