The Unbearable Ugliness Of Being

If you’re expecting a “good” book, it should be delineated that while the word craft and story telling here is immense and raw and unapologetically real, it simply is the written perspective of a disgusting human being. it’s grimy and awful and real. but it doesn’t make you feel vindicated, or better in any way. Subjecting yourself to this read is an act of self harm.

I can appreciate edgy, raw, real writing- but don't be mistaken, this book isn't that. I think this man was shooting for Henry Miller but missed the mark entirely and went straight to gross misogyny and (literally) elder rape. Referring to a sex worker as an "it". This writer, in simple terms, is an incel and makes it clear. This isn't a fresh take on anything, it's just your run-of-the-mill misogynistic whiney white dude with a pen. Might as well save your money and just hop on any Fox News comment section.

Honestly not worth a read. The stories don’t flow and there’s nothing to them. Meaningless. Pointless. Not even gritty or dark. Just annoying.

Although the author is undoubtedly a wordsmith and can tell a story, it is vile. The subject clearly hates all women, and it’s really no wonder considering his childhood. But, the story puts all women in the same “fat, ugly pig” group. The rest of the book is focused on this psychotic, disgusting man with a religious preoccupation as he paints the entire world and society with a very dark, bleak, and grim brush. I feel like I need a good hot shower after reading this filth.
