Question 1

Can the relay be used for a signal that varies from 3vdc (off, monitored) to 26vdc (on)?  the control voltage has an end of line resistor.

Sounds possible to me. My installation is zero volts when off and 24 volts when on. But, not sure of the minimum voltage to drop out; thinking it could range from zero to about ten volts. You will have to test to see what works for you.

Question 2

I am trying to control a small 110v pump. i have a control board with 24v do i conect the control board  wires to the yellow and blue?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  You can use either set of Yellow and Blue.  If you use the top Yellow and Blue (that is, top in the picture), then use the top Red and Black for switching on/off your 110V.  Or use the bottom two pairs; don't use both.   (I.E. 24V on the top Yellow & Black will close the circuit on the top Red & Black; 24V on the bottom Yellow & Blue will close the circuit on the bottom Red & Black).

Question 3

I’m planning on connecting my Swamp cooler motor and pump to a WiFi thermostat, it will this relay do the rick?

Depends on the voltage your thermostat will put out, and in which state. If your thermostat outputs 24V when the swamp cooler should be activated, then the control portion will work.

Finally, how much current does your motor and pump consume? You could hook each up seperately on both outputs of the relay. If they are each under 10 amps, the relay can handle it.

Question 4

Need help.  i intent to use the dc 24v from thermostat to turn on ac 110v power, but why are there two control wires for each circuit?

Thermostats always operate with 24 volts AC. The relay can accept either an AC or a DC control input.

Control voltage / current: 20 ~ 30Vdc or 18 ~ 26Vac, 15mA(at 24V).

The relay will close when the two control inputs have 24 volts (AC or DC) across them. You always need two wires to make a current flow into any device. There are no internal connections from the control inputs to any of the other connections on the relay. So the only way to get a current to flow into the solenoid which causes the relay to close is  to apply the 24 volts (AC or DC) across the two control wires.
